Jesus is some guy from a long time ago who did or said something so awesome that people decided to make his name live on forever.

He was also my friend's dad when I was in middle school.

Jesus to me was and is a spiritual being, no different than you and I in essence. Unlike most of us, however, he realized to the fullest his own spiritual identity and destiny in his final incarnation.

I do not see him as being fundamentally different from myself, but rather he was a magnificent example of someone who united with God to the extent where he could truly could say "I and my Father are one."

Since Jesus overcame the human ego and united with Christ within, it sent a powerful message that we all can do that too.

Unfortunately, only a few hundred years after his resurrectioin and ascension, his example was turned into a idol and thus his role as an example has nearly been eclipsed for the last 2000 years.

Yet, today Jesus is an Ascended Master and his true teachings are being restored by a number of means, most notably through Kim Michaels at www.askrealjesus.com

What one has done, all can do. This is the heart of Jesus message and this is his legacy for me and for all.

Jesus was just one of many so called "Rabbis" around his time. He is not God, and good people CAN get to heaven without believing in him.
