Your hair sounds very, very damaged.
First: Do not straighten your hair every day. Excessive heat causes a ton of damage to hair follicles.
Second: Get a haircut. It will do wonders for damaged ends.

You might want to have your hair 'thinned'. It sounds like you have thick hair...meaning a lot of hair...rather than coarse hair, which can appear thick.
Thinning is done with 'thinning shears'; a special scissor that cuts like ordinary shears, but it skips strands and only cuts some. This gives you less bulk to your hair and your hair will appear thinner and not so "puffy" at the bottom. This techique will not shorten the length of your hair. It is recommended that you not go any more than halfway toward the scalp when cutting to prevent hairs from 'spiking'. Also, do not make too many cuts.
I recommend a professional to do this properly.

Get a Boar Bristle brush, and give each side of your hair 50 strokes everyday. Don't use any thing plastic to groom your hair.

layers or a shorter hair cut but layers will work best. My sister and I use whats called CHI. It is a line of products. the straightener and also creams from that line. look them up and see what salons in your area use their stuff. its a little pricy but well worth it. also we use bio silk. and only farouk bio silk.

You need to use gels or palm aids before you straighten your hair (put it on before you dry your hair). A good quality mousse will work also

Long layers!
Layers causes the hair to curl evenly throughout the head. Havin it all one length is what causes the "pyramid" shape. Make sure they give you long layers!
