Because they are insecure and un-confident with theirselves, so they put up a front. By intimidating others or making themselves feel bigger than everyone else, they make theirself feel better. I very much dislike people like this.

HOPE HAS IT. LIVING IN NYC CAN BE VERY INTENSE WITH 8 MILLION PEOPLE LIVING SO CLOSE TOGETHER. SO TO COPE MOST PEOPLE BECOME DETACHED (SOME VIOLENT).
BUT, WE'RE NO MORE FULL OF OURSELVES THAN ANY WHERE ELSE. AS A MATER OF FACT, WE CAN BE QUIT FRIENDLY.
BUT IF YOU SEE SOME ONE BUZZING DOWN THE STREET, WALKING 3X FASTER THAN YOU...DON'T STAND THERE LIKE A DEER CAUGHT IN YOUR HEADLIGHTS...'CAUSE A NEW YORKER IS GOING ABOUT THEIR DAY!

Cause they ben hurt real bad at sometime , maybe still are. so they gotta hurt or act tough to keep you away from their heart, they hurt instead of being hurt. sad but true.

it makes them feel strong and powerful and for some reason they cant figure out that everyone is staring at them not because of their super strength but because they look like a big weirdo!!! it happens alot with guys! they like to show off their mucles even when they dont have any just like girls like to strut their stuff when they dont have stuff to strut!
