hometown is where u live (what town ur home's in)
birthplace is where u were born. sometimes ur hometown can also be ur birthplace.

It doesn't matter where your born. I was born in one state, raised in a few others, and grew up in others still. I would think your home town would be the one that you feel the most affinity for. The one that you identify with the most. The rule is that it's your choice.

Traditionally Hometown refers to the place you were born, although people broke away from that strict interpretation during the post WW2 Era. Then as now, many people were raised in places other than where they were born and that to became a sentimental hometown.

In my opinion, your home town is where your heart is. If that is the town in which you were born , or another town in which you have lived, it does not matter. Home is where the heart is.

Im pretty sure your hometown is where you live...but i dunno for sure.
