And if christianity is older wouldn't that mean Muslim copied from them and then change it around a bit?

doesn't it seem weird that all the people got visions from a higher being to start a religion?

Yes but Muhammad did not have the right texts, what he used was the texts used by the Christains in the lands he took over, and the faith of at least one of his wifes.
In books written about the Quran ( not from Isalm) it was shown where these false chrsitain and other real christain teachigns were included in Islam along with Jewish items also.
So yes it is basicly a rehash of several religions into one with other additional material used that helps in the control of the people.

Christianity as taught by Jesus is older than Islam. Muslims didn't copy/change things around a bit. The easiest way to look at it is that Allah/God sent messengers to us and religion progressed with each messenger. Unfortunately, modern day Christianity is newer than Islam. The reasons for this are that Islam has not changed at all since it was brought to us by Mohammed but modern day Christianity has changed so drastically through translations of the Bible that it is no longer the same religion that Jesus taught.

Here is a simplified version of how it went down:
First youve got Moses and the Jews, then Jesus comes along and you have Christianity. Mohammed arrives, studies Christianity, gets a vision, and Islam is born.
Also Allah=God for all you who dont know anything about Arabic.

I'm sorry. Muslim is not a religion.
Islam!!
Yes. Christianity is older. Those old stories told by Paul in about early years in Gregorian calendar system.
Islam begin when Our Prophet was told to Allah to: Read! Read in the name of your Lord!
Jesus, Abraham, and Moses' religion is tawheed. Believe in One Treu God.
Islam is kinda perfection of it. Or Tawheed + laws =Islam.

From a neutral standpoint, Christianity started in the beginning of the first millenium, and Islam started only a few centuries later.

Mohammed, I don't know how to spell it, was born 570 ad. Where as Jesus was born 583 years before that. So I would have to say Christianity is more ancient than Islam.
