A bunch of people weren't happy when I asked if we should sue the federal government for the billions each year California (for example) pays for illegal immigrants. I thought I was turning my anger in a constructive direction.
But ok, you win. So where should the money come from?

sqwirlsgrl - for some reason the federal government doesn't seem to want to enforce the laws, so I don't see how to work with them. I agree that voting is the best answer, but here a huge problem has been that the federal government gets such benefit as there is, and the states and localities pay the costs. That makes it easy for the feds to be fiscally irresponsible in my opinion.

Yes of course they should be sued!! After all, THEY are the ones who are not defending our borders or making sure our laws are upheld! Sue the pants off them!! Impeach the President! Impeach the whole sorry bunch!! SOMETHING will have to be done about this infernal mess we find ourselves in!
Hmmm .. I notice the complete absence of those who didn't want to sue ... where are they?? Hiding?? Having dinner?? Making babies?? Where??

The money would come from other programs most likely all State's programs. And from taxes.
But it will still be a savings to what is being spend in time.
I should have stated that better my apologies.
We would be saving if no amnesty was given and deporting them back. The cost of that is in no way comparison to what we spend now because of the debt concurred. And would continue to concur.
And the suit might make them understand that they are responsible for some of the damage caused. Right now they are not taking accountability for their actions which affect many.
Hope I was more understandable this time. I rarely use the computer for chats. I have much to learn.

I think many are standing up now and it will get bigger-polls show more than 90% want action. And it might take a little longer for some but the others will stand up. I think some are waiting for election-if that don't work-many will stand up more .
And look at every paper everywhere in the States--people are telling the schools no more money. The school will be pushed and they will have to cut somewhere--and it won't be their pocketbooks. And people will demand accountability from them. And people will be more aware of the problems of overcrowding.
Snowball effect--in time so many things will be hit--medical, schools and benefits and others (we see it now)-that people will not like the effects--or much of the cause of it all.

Perhaps the *crickets" are here because no one has an answer.
You asked if we should sue......I said "ridiculous".....we should be working WITH the federal government not against it.
By simply asking that question and it HAPPENING.....so many other factors come into play.
The money well.....that problem is something we have elected our officials to handle......didn't we? If we voted incorrectly......well than we need to regroup and try again.

Suing the government (federal, state or municipal) is not the solution. If office holders refuse to follow or enforce the law, then they should be held responsible and be sued or, at the very least, not be re-elected.
