If there was a God, what would you have Him "do"? People pray all the time and nothing happens as a result. Non-believers never pray, and nothing happens as a result. Zealots and Jesus-freaks scream about the Kingdom of God, and that still doesn't exist. Yet, through it all, people are more than willing to kill someone in God's name. Holy wars? If there was a God, and if He cared one iota about humankind, he'd flood the Earth (again, I guess) and start all over. But if there was God, His knowledge would have allowed for a better race of people. Thank God that He doesn't exist, or we'd be in deep sh...

God is real. For you to ask a question like this means you are having a problem with the realness of God. You should try prayer cause it works, and read the Bible. God has mercy on all of us so a world without God would be a merciless place. God is doing things every second, minute, hour, day, week, month, and year. How do you think you got up this morning? God breathed the breath of life into your body.

I'll take the world we live in, where there's a God that does mostly nothing. A perfect world would be boring, and there would be nothing to learn from. You can be happy without a God, but its an empty happiness. Only having God in you life and knowing there is an afterlife can bring true happiness.

Well that is exactly the world we live in, isn't it?
There is no evidence that there is a God, and if there is a God of some kind it is pretty clear It is doing nothing to help humankind.
But I don't think it is so bad. I actually love being alive.
Namaste.

We already live in both worlds that you described. From an atheist's point of view, there is no God in this world that we live in and their fine with that. And from many miserable Christians down on their luck, God exists, but is doing nothing to help them. But I'm fine with both of them.

Good thing I don't have to think too much about it! Because I absolutely believe that there is a God! I believe that it is much worse to have a God but some people REFUSE to believe that He exists. It's not His fault that He continues to touch our lives but we kept on pushing Him away..

Both worlds would be the same... and its called Earth. Either there is no God or he/she exists and doesnt even know we are here or does not care. Plenty of proof of that... just look at Africa.

There is third possibility...A world where there is no god (and hence does nothing), but where people believe there is a god and that he, she, or it does something. This third possibility would be the worst world of all.

I think we already live in a world with no god. This world seems pretty great to me.

Hmmm...there is no God...but a bunch of dreamers think there is...so I guess based on that there is one who does nothing.
Why dont we just change it to would it be a better world without Christians?
