You can safely lose 20 lbs. the first month you are on a diet. Because of water weight. My Dr. recommeded Medifast and Lost 35 lbs. so far. You eat 5-6 small meals a day every 2-3 hours and eat lean meat and green veggies. Well..it depends on your diet and the amount of exercise you plan to do. you could probably lose as much as 25 lbs within a month...if you apply yourself but dont deprive yourself..because nutrients is very important...and always check with your doctor when making a big decision to lose weight...He or she may be able to help...Water is a must considering that our total body composition is approximately 92% water. So good luck...and always have someone that is a positive person and very supportive in what you're doing....

dont lose more than 1 or 2 lbs a week. If you loose weight too fast, it can create stretch marks or loose and saggy skin. And just make sure to stick to a diet and exercise regimine. So i would say, go for a practical goal of 10 lbs a month. Dont set your goal too high, but dont set it so low you arent motivated.

If you just want to WEIGH less (and not look any better) you could probably shift 20lbs by eating like 1 chicken breast a day, but that'd be water and muscle mass you lost and a tiny bit of fat. If you did a bit of exercise and ate some whole grains, a couple of chicken breasts and veg you could lose like 8-10 with more of it being fat and you'd look better.
