The tooth is dead. He needs to see a dentist. He will probably let it stay until the other grows in. Thats what happened with my daughter.

You should have seen a dentist , he may have been able to save it , but it's a baby tooth and it will fall out .But you'll have years of wait for the next one . If he's not in pain then the nerve is dead , nothing you can do , if he's in pain a dentist will need to see him . PS something like this happened to my grand daughter , IF YOU TAKE HIM TO A DENTIST stay in the room ! No matter what they say ! He told me , she's fine and will be out soon she was screaming so loud because she was scared , that sounded right to me . A year later at an appointment I learned The ER dentist stopped her from breathing and said " BE quiet no one can hear you ! " The year later she yelled he's going to kill me ,and explained what the other dentist had done .4 years later , she still cries promise to stay in the room .

my brother got hit in the face with a ball bat when we were little and my mom waited about a week to take him to the doctor because there were no immeadite signs of a "dead" or hurt tooth...just a bloody lip at the time. he told her to go to the dentist and he said the tooth was dead, the root was fine, and the tooth would fall out on its own. A couple days later, thats what happened...it fell out. The best person to ask is your dr/dentist...better safe than sorry. Hope he gets better!

you won't get arrested. The same thing happened to me when I was little. You'll need to take your son to the dentist and get it pulled. An adult tooth will grow back, but not as soon as if he were 5 years old and lost his first tooth on his own. It can take years to grow back. My nephew had 3 pulled when he was 4 and now he is 6 and he still don't have his adult teeth.

It will fall out and probably alot sooner than you expect. Not to worry mom, a new tooth will be taking it's place eventually. It may not be the ideal "look" for family pictures, but theres really nothing you or a dentist can do with a child so young in this situation.

My son was 2 when he fell on his front teeth. He is now 5 and one of his front teeth is black. I took him to the dentist, he told me that it will fall out when its ready its just a dead nerve nothing to worry about unless it get infected. Then he will need medication and need to be seen by the dentist. I'm going to worn you that you will either get questions or dirty look from other parents and adults as if you don't take care of you sons teeth. But there is nothing to worry about. Good luck P.S. you will not get arrested for child neglect

Why don't you "ASAP" people calm down. It's not immediately life-threatening you're gonna freak people out.

You should go to the dentist, no need for an emergency appointment or anything - unless you wont be seen for weeks, and have them take a look. I'm sure they are better qualified than people on yahoo! answers ;)

sounds like the tooth died, go to the dentist and explain it. he will take it out no big deal. I would hurry though, it may get infected and that potentially kill your son. Tooth infections are very underrated, but is in fact the leading cuase of death in many tribal cultures.

the dentist is needed but relax its not life threatening and will in all probability be pulled then you can play tooth fairy a little early ... oh that type of tooth requires a bigger return... [cash] good luck and hope he's feeling OK otherwise.

That happened to my sister when she was 4. The dentist decided to leave it as it was until her big tooth pushed it out since it wasn't causing any pain. Bring him to his dentist and find out what they think.
