Lost many family members to cancer, including my father. We had luminaries at our relay for life for them and for the members who have won their battle. It is hard to deal with but if you didn't love them so much, it wouldn't be so hard. Accept your grief as a tribute to them and the love you had for them. Whatever you do, don't hold your grief inside. Let the grief out and let out the good memories you have of that person at the same time. It helps you heal.

My older brother passed away about 8 yrs back, he was suffering from colon cancer. He was operated twice. After the first operation he survived for about a year and then passed away. I have seen him going through all his illness and i can never forget it, May his soul rest in peace. He was a very simple person and a good brother.

No, but I am friends with someone who has and I felt a great deal of pain, it felt as if I had lost my own sister.
I do not have any sisters, but I know that sisters can be quite special. I see how sisters bond.
I am sorry for your loss. I wish you the very best. I really can comprehend your pain though the loss I witnessed wasn't a blood relative.

I am sure that there are lots of people in the world who have lost a sibling to cancer. I have not but I have friends who have and it is not an easy thing to cope with. I am sorry for your loss.
