I want you to listen slowly and listen carefully to what i have to say so that you can understand me. Why when i ask for proof of an after life (which there is none), christians always say, near death experiences, where there supposably experiencing all these great things and existing in time without a body supposably watching whatever is going on from above or whatever garbage they wanna make up. But yet, how can they be experiencing anything when there bible says that death is a dreamless sleep until jesus returns to resurrect the dead for judgement day? Shouldnt there NDE's be of experiencing nothing like being unconscious or like before they were born since the myth of jesus hasnt supposably returned for them yet? How do you explain this huge contradiction?

I don't know where the "dreamless sleep" idea comes from, but Paul tells us that being absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (II Corinthians 5:6-8). He never mentions any dreamless sleep.
Also, reference the account of Lazarus and the rich man (Luke 16:19-31). Lazarus died, but was very much conscious as he conversed with the rich man after death. There was no dreamless sleep for him.
I make no particular judgment regarding the reality of near-death experiences - I've never had one myself - but I can't find the dreamless sleep notion in the Bible. Whenever death is referenced as sleep, it refers to the body of a person, not the soul, which is eternally conscious.

I can explain this. A lot of Christians for some reason seem to believe that as soon as you die, you either go to heaven or hell. That is rooted more in tradition than biblical teachings. But you're right; the bible does say death is like a sleep-state. Not many choose to believe that though, instead choosing to believe tradition rather than the Bible. It's wrong and I will not defend that. But seriously... don't you have anything better to do with your time?? Why do you spend so much of it trying to disprove something that you don't believe in anyway? Why is it so important to you??

Exactly!!!! It is a proven fact that the gases used in surgeries where you get the supposed near death experiences, will cause hallucinations in some just as some of the psycodelic drugs do in those that take them for fun. We all are near death every day but then why do we not have these things happen if it is all so true? Doesn't make any sense, does it?

As Christ told the theft on the cross, tommorrow he will see him in paradise, we also know people like Moses is not asleep since he was visable with Jesus at the transfiguration.
When you sleep do you know or sense the time frame, do you know where you mind will be for this sleep.
In sleep our bodies are still ( as in death) but our minds are active ( and in death our souls and minds will be active)
I see no contradiction at all but actually a more complete understanding of what will really ahppen.
The bible is not one verse tried to be used to prove an entire case, but it is all the verses put together and a common faith and a common truth exposed.
if you merley don't want to beleive that is your right, since Chrsit told us most will not, but you wish to go past non beleif into attack and using the tools as satan thierself, you attempt to twist the words of the scripture for your purpose.
You have no mission except to try and draw beleivers into your pit with you. Since you don't beleive there is a God and a faith, why do you care is someone else believes, since you don't believe it is real
Or perhaps it is worst, you know the truth and rejected it, and wish to bring others into your condition to treat yourself to pleasure.

Death is just that, Death. When you are truly dead there is nothing, your life force(not an immortal soul) returns to God who gave it. We are unconscious, unaware of anything, there is no knowledge or devising or work in sheol the place to which you are going. We have no immortal soul, the Bible, God's word states that God alone is immortal. When we die we must wait for the resurrection back to life in the end. We are nothing when we die, we return to the dust from which we came, but we are in God's memory for God is a god of the living not of the dead, all are alive to God. Those who claim near death experiences are not dead and in their own unconscious state they dream what seems to be real, Satan can even cause the dreams to continue his lie that we have an immortal soul just as he told Eve, you will positively not die even though God said she would.

where did you read in the Bible that "death is a dreamless sleep until Jesus returns?"
the primary proof of life after death would be the historical account of jesus coming back from the dead and telling folks about it.

Easy enough,
First Matthew Chapter 28, verse 52-53
And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which sept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
There amre many many more, read the bible for yourself and I encourage you not to just take these two verses at face value, read the whole book of Matthew for yourself, its an eye opener if nothing else.
Ohhhh yea, Jesus himself arose from the grave on the third day after this event, its in this chapter also.

If you're looking for proof that an afterlife of some kind or another, science is getting close to proving the existance of a soal. Look up astral projection and it shouldn't take too long for you to find it. I don't have the link anymore, sorry.

Don't pat yourself on the back just yet, you're not doing any radical thinking. The truth is, proof of an afterlife, by definition, doesn't exist for everybody to see; it isn't measurable or repeatable by science. Evidence of an afterlife exists only in the realm of logic.

actually that sort of thing is described in the Bible as Satan trying to deceive us. all I can say for you atheists is read the bible all the way through before you decide to make an argument against us because every time you take something out of context you make yourselves look foolish.
