Does oxygen really get to your brain faster?

it's about controlling your breathing, i mean yeah you might get your jaw broken if you leave you mouth open but it's also human instinct to tighten your mouth when a fist is flying towards your face, think of this, if you breath with your mouth open you'll be taking in more air than what you need in your lungs and one good shot to the body will take you out whereas if you breath through your nose you'll get oxygen to your brain much faster which is very good when it comes to boxing cause the brain needs to be very active during fights in order for you to actually be in the fight. i hope i said it right so you can understand, it's 12:30 am and i'm a little sleepy just incase it looks as if i just typed a bunch of crap.

It is hard to breath with a mouth-piece. That is why you see many fighters spit the mouth-piece out on purpose.
