Do you think some people not use their turn signals on purpose?

I feel that I usually remember to use them, but it does annoy the hell out of me when people don't!

I think some people don't use their turn signals for the same reason that they pull in front of a big rig with less than one car length of clearance, tailgate at 80 mph, block traffic because they KNEW they weren't going to clear that light, or drive so far under the speed limit they might as well have used a BIKE. I love driving, and I take it very seriously. I see driving as an experience, not just as something that gets you from point A to point B. I think the no turn signal folks fall into the point A to B category.

Where I am from, people have no idea what that lever is for on their cars or they are too lazy to flip it up or down or they don't want to show how stupid they are because they don't know left from right. (The last one is probably true because around here if someone does put their right signal on, you can bet they will turn left)

I think it's usually just laziness, especially when they're only changing lanes.

Then again, I was told that drivers in Rhode Island intentionally avoid letting other drivers know what they're going to do. But I'm not from there and after what I've seen of RI drivers wouldn't go to look.

I dont know for sure but it annoys the hell out of me too. Doesn't it seem like the people in newer cars use their blinkers the least?

the way i think if im in a truning lane that only turns right or left then i dont need to tell anyone casue i can only go one way turn,,, if im slowing down im either going to stop or turn when i started driving only had to have a light in back and a light in front. if you are not tailgatingor speeding you should have plenty stop. only time i use them if someone behind is really close and i think they going to hit me

I think many drivers are just ignorant this way and think that other drivers should be able to read their minds. I always use my signals whether there are other drivers around or not.

I think they just forget to use them. But sometimes, even when they do use their turn signals, they just swerve right in front of you when changing lanes without even looking to see who's there.

Yes, cause at one point and time, they saw a car not using its turn signal and it pissed them off so bad, he or she takes their revenge by not using turn signals.
