Yes, particularly kittens. The mother possums are more aggressive, too. Most will just hang out and eat the catfood, though.

I've read how possum are so mean. They kill kittens and eat them. I have cats, mom and dad, and babies all staying underneath my house. The possums are not aggressive at all. The cats never bother them, they don't bother my cats. I've actually tamed the babies, they will eat out of my hand.

I have caught the dogs trying to kill them, even the adults. I simply pick them up by the tail and put them near the house and they run underneath it. The cats and possums are friends and have been no threat whatsoever to each other. I still have never seen a viscious possum either.

Not likely... maybe possible...

Possums are small marsupials with brown or grey fur, ranging in size from the length of a finger (pygmy possums and wrist-winged gliders), to the length of a forearm (brushtails and ringtails). All possums are nocturnal and omnivorous, hiding in a nest in a hollow tree during the day and coming out during the night to forage for food. They fill much the same role in the Australian ecosystem that squirrels fill in the northern hemisphere and are broadly similar in appearance.

The two most common species of possums, the Common Brushtail and Common Ringtail, are also among the largest.

Opossums are not aggressive by nature. These creatures only live a very few years, maybe six... I have seen a great many possums and never ever have i seen one that was aggressive if it had a chance to excape. If they are cornered and pushed where they have no hope of excape they have been known to bite defensively only.

That one would kill a cat is highly unlikely. And if you are thinking that it might be rabid, yes that does happen, but again its rare. Raccoons are aggressive and could be cat killers, they are much more likely to have rabies, so its very wise to not hassle any wildlife.

An opposum is usually a fairly quiet animal that doesn't act out unless provoked. If aggitated enough, I think that a opposum could cause serious harm and/or kill a cat or kitten due to its rare aggresive behavior. Racoons are notorious for doing this, and even have been known to "skin" them. Most often the bodies aren't eaten though.

No way. More like the other way around. Possums just play dead when confronted by anything. They mostly eat vegetation and insects.
