I have to paint a room. It has a few holes from screws I want to cover before I paint. What do I need for that?

Also, do I have to use Primer or do I just start painting away?

Any recommendations regarding brand or type of paint?

Thanks so much!

Sparkling will fill the holes. You just spread it on the holes and try to leave it flush with the wall, if not sand it after it dries with 220 grit sand paper. No need to use a primer if the wall has already been painted.
I paint a lot I recommend Kelly Moore paint, it cost slightly more per gallon but covers really nice. So in the long run cost less. If your walls tend to get dirty I would recommend a eggshell which has a slight gloss and you can ripe it with a damp cloth to clean.

first you should use some dap and fill the holes and sand flat
then if the paint you are putting on is lighter then the color on the wall you may need to go over it 2 times but after one coat drys
My favorite paint for a room is semi gloss water base

get a 2 inch brush for trim and a roller and pan for the wall and ceiling or you could paint the white. and yes the room should be clear of things th get to the area you are painting and please use a paint drop cloth on the floor drops of paint clean up easy with a damp cloth othen it happens

well, between all of us you might get the info you seek!! i would suggest paint from walmart. it is not too expensive and it is good quality. i can say that through experience. i have painted two rooms with it!! i haven't had to use any primers. i just started painting the walls. mine were white to begin with. good luck and have fun!!
