The answer is no you are correct because women in those days were considered subordinates of men i.e not to be taken seriously. So if Jesus had been a woman, he/she would have been considered a nut job and locked away.

That is like asking if the story were Little Red Riding Hood, the boy would it be as popular. You would have a very hard time to change the issues so that a girl instead of a boy were to be a Jesus type figure. Most girls at the time did not travel alone around the countryside with a bunch of guys preaching about a merciful God. And how would that Jesus die on the cross, women were not crucified for being the daughter of God.

Human beings are supposed to have been around for 2 million years. For the first 1,990,000 years, women ruled the roost and men were their playthings--and there were no gods, only goddesses. Then around 10 to 20 thousand years ago, we invented agriculture and stopped our wander-gatherer lifestyle and became planters and hunters. At the same time, the gods started changing from female to male. Of course the bible is filled with sexism--because it is meant as a justification for a male god to support the hunter-planter lifestyle. Marriage, as relationship between men and women was invented around the same time; before that we had only matrilinear descendencies, that is people only knew who their mothers were, not their fathers. Marriage was invented as a way for men to know which children were "theirs" (before that children were just part of the tribe, with all men as their fathers, and a known mother). Men wanted to know who their children were because they didn't want to work in the fields all day to feed other people's children.
So, if JC incarnated as a woman, he wouldn't be popular in a male-dominated culture like today, but he would have been quite popular before agriculture and marriage were invented. (S)he would no doubt have been a god of fertility.

If a woman had behaved like Jesus during those times she would likely have been proclaimed a witch and burned at the stake long before she could ever have gotten a message out. So there would likely be no such thing as Christianity.

Yes it would. It is the doctrine of Christianity that is popular. If the Savior was female it might have taken a little longer to spread the word but it would have happened nonetheless.
Even before Jesus the concept was popular, it just didn't have a name yet.

First of all, God isn't Jesus. 2 different people. And it would probably never happen too. And changing from a man into a woman i thought was a sin. He made the rules so he wouldn't break them. Stupid question!!!!!

Agreed-- no way in hell. Keep in mind some branches of Christianity still don't allow women to lead a service ! Very, Very Pathetic.
