The only way a BP vest can take Howitzer shell is:
1)Find a Howitzer shell, ( Howitzers 'R' Us 5th & Main)
2)Lay your vest down, flat on a solid surface
3)place the Howitzer shell on the vest.
4) You and at least 1 of your fiends (sp), firmly grip the vest one on either side of the vest.
5) Carefully..Pick up the vest and Shell.
6) Take it somewhere
The vest has now taken a Howizer shell...somewhere.
I can not imagine another way.
Of course...NOW I get it.......it was a trick question.
Sure a BP vest will take a Howitzer shell... the person wearing the vest will be OBLITERATED, but the vest will have taken a Howitzer shell.......LOL ....Hell I thought you were serious ....You dog, pullin our chain like that. (LMAO).. I should have known..
Only a dip-stick would ask a question like that..for real.

If the vest was made by giants and sewn together with leprechaun back hair (very magical) and the howitzer was made by the Borrowers(they are quite small), then YES, it could certainly take a howitzer shell.
Thanks for the brilliant question, it really got me thinking.

i seriously doubt it. even if it did stop the shell, through some miracle, the force would probarly blow your innards out
