Okay, so I usually check my horoscope about every day just because I'm curious to see what it says since sometimes it actually applies to what's happening in my life at the time. Is that going against God's will? I'm a Christian and I've accepted Christ into my life but I'm not sure about this...

2nd Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Ephesians 5:11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Leviticus 19:31
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

You need to pray and renounce horoscope-reading.
You need to seek God's will in personal matters in prayer.

Hi, I can't say I have read all through the Old Testament!! But, I'm not sure what you mean about there being something against it there - perhaps you can expand on that. I guess since God created everything, God obviously thinks Astrology is fab!! I have to say though that there is a lot of Astrology in the Bible in General - please don't ask me to find it all and point you to it verse by verse right now though!! If you are a student of Astrology and read the Bible you will spot the references for yourself. In fact they will probably jump right out at you, as happened to me! I am part of an Astrology group who meet locally and we once had a talk by someone about Astrology in the Bible. He gave statistics about how much Astrology there is in the Bible - and it was a surprising amount, although I don't remember exact figures. Of course, 'back then' Astronomy, Astrology, Maths, Medicine and Philosophy were all quite intertwined, so I'm not so sure about comments regarding differences between Astronomy and Astrology. Science never 'fell out' with Astrologers - what made Astrology unpopular was religion itself and that only happened when Astrology became 'personalised' and the issue of fate v. free will became an issue. (Although I have a different interpretation of what it means to have free will and don't think it precludes 'fate', at least to the degree that 'fate' can be found in a horoscope.) Interestingly, the Church was against Astrology being practised unless it was practised in conjunction with medicine. Interesting question - I think I'll give you a star for that!!

Of curse not
Who made the stars and put them there in the skie
And if they have influence in our lifes
it wa by the hand of the creator

But I think many people judge God
with Human conceps
and wroste they do not give him credit for more that
whats writen in the Bible.

They seem to think that very piece of knowlege
that is outside of it is evil
And let's face it some is
Nobody said only God give all of it to the world

But is something so elemental as to check a horoscope please
There is no need to get fanatic there
Enjoy the starts God made them for us.

*I'm hoping you check the cell phone, the paper or
something trivial like that*

Oh and let me clarify this
I do not aproved of any of the Dark arts whatever people call them
Just be carefull not to use any of it

Genesis
1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Hey... wait a minute... that's just mythological drivel. But, then again, so are horoscopes.

Do whatever you want... it doesn't mean squat.

Im pretty sure the people who write those horoscopes in the newspapers are Christians too.... so I wouldnt worry

You know astrology is WAY supper older than Christianity, and has been used and evolved since then?
Look it up, Its not evil and if found the right resources it will amaze you ! :)

You bet.

The king who ruled before David took the throne consulted with a medium, and was judged. The throne was taken away from him, and David became the royal line leading to Jesus Christ.

Where as God has his prophets, the devil has his psychics who are proven over and over again to be inaccurate, and use stage tricks to mislead you with general statements.

To consult with a psychic is friendship with the world, and book of James says friendship with the world is hostility toward God.

So long as it never moves beyond amusement; to accept a horoscope as true is telling God that you believe in Stars more than you do him.

That's the way it was explained to me. I have a 'Virgo' cup, a guy came up to me and told me I was going against God by just owning it. When I asked my priest, he asked me if I believed what was on there... I said 'No', then he said (paraphrased),'It's fine, so long as you don't believe in those things and rely on them, you need to rely on God first and foremost in your life.'

Hope that helps...

God bless!

Yes, the bible warns against fortune telling. There are spirits known as familiar spirits or spirits of divination. They have the ability to tell the future in limited fashion. Be aware of what you allow to invade your spirituality.

Its not really a good idea. Take a look at what happened to Saul when he consulted the fortune teller. There is some pretty wicked stuff out there. Don't ever subscribe to it.
