I agree they don't burn forever. They are destroyed in the fire
what does God say "the wages of sin is death" not eternal life in the fire.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son theat whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
What is the definition of perish
1)to become destroyed or ruined : cease to exist
Who gets eternal life? the people who believe in Jesus
God said you will die the Devil said you won't REALLY die the problem is the children of God believe the Devil over God
Think about it Revelation says God rains fire and brimstone on the wicked. Jesus says the meek inherit the earth, God is going to make a new Heaven and a new Earth so if hell fire goes on forever and ever then doesn't that make God a liar?
"Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it." Isaiah 47:14
Rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.Matthew 10:28
If God wants to destroy sin then wouldn't eternal life in the fire make sin ... eternal
people say the fire is eternal so sinners burn forever but
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. Jude 7
is Sodom and Gomorrah still burning? No but but the EFFECTS of the fire are eternal
This video talks about it

NO. No where in the Bible does it TEACH that the wages of sin is eternal fire. The only time a burning hell is mentioned is in the "parable" of the Rich Man and Lazarus. A parable is a story explaining something with another story, and Jesus himself said he "taught only in parables or illustrations" (Matthew 13:34) Also, outside of Jerusalem there was a garbage dump called Gehenna (another name for Hell) which was burning 24/7, 365 so that the bodies, animals and waste thrown in would burn and not "blow" and cause maggots and flies, and thus disease in the local population of Jerusalem. And yes, the Jews knew the cause of disease and how to prevent them. So they threw Lime and Sulpher on the fires of Gehenna to keep the smell down and the fires burning and the things in it safe from spreading disease.
The Bible also says, "The wages of sin is death", and that the dead are asleep awaiting a resurrection (John 11:11-14, 23:26; Acts 7:60) Also the Dead are unconscious, knowing nothing (Ec. 9:5, 10; Psalms 146; 3,4) There are many many more scriptures like this, but the main one is this, and think on it. Jesus resurrected 2 people BEFORE HE DIED, RIGHT? Another man named Lazarus (not the BEGGER in the parable, but a real man) and a girl. So why does the Bible say, at Colossians 1:18 "He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things" and he was the first to go to heaven. So if the Girl and Lazarus were not in Heaven, and Christ was the first to return to heaven where were they? In the common grave, resting of course for their ressurection.
Great question. Sorry, i'm in a super super hurry or i'd answer much better.

i'm a Jehovah's Witness and hell is the person-pleasant grave. that's not an part of fiery torment. Ecc 9:5,6, says once you die you recognize no longer something, can do no longer something and characteristic no memory. It says no longer something about burning in hell. regardless of if we had a soul that lived when we die (which we do not) how ought to that's burned? If there have been such an section as a fiery pit for sinners, God ought to have informed Adam and Eve because they could were the first ones going there. There are scriptures that many use even as attempting to tutor a hellfire, yet those are symbolic and by no potential meant to be taken actually. Rev 20:14 says that lack of existence and hades are thrown into the "lake of hearth". how will you throw lack of existence and hell everywhere? It purely signifies that lack of existence and the grave will be executed away with perpetually. in case you study down slightly extra in Rev 21:a million-5, it tells you there'll be no extra lack of existence. So, even as the Bible speaks of hearth it ususally potential both total destruction or purification.

The only person I hope burns in hell is you for asking a dumbassed question like that. You're all going to hell!!!
I am the only one who will be saved because my way is the right way, (The Church of Allan).
Here is a quote from my book "The Plain Truth About God-101 (what the church doesn't want you to know!)
**“Fight all the forces of evil with the word of GOD as your personal compass. Let no one stray from the path of salvation that only God can bring. We cannot save you, but we shall show you how to be saved! That is why we are the just and true defenders of the faith, and our way is the right way!” --Take your pick of any modern evangelist!
Or this;
** "Here we may reign secure, and in my choice.”
”To reign is worth ambition though in hell.”
”Better to reign in hell, than serve in heav'n.”
--John Milton (Paradise Lost)
Or this;
** I was all screwed up on drugs until I found Jesus;
NOW I'M ALL SCREWED UP ON HIM! --Cheech and Chong

Burning in hell is a symbolism for not being able to be where God is. It is the torment of knowing that you could have made it if you had been more faithful. You will burn with the desire to be with him. There are many degrees of heaven. Ask yourself it the ones that are super good and those that are barely good enough to reach heaven deserve the same glory.

If that were the case, wouldn't everyone be going to hell to burn forever? The Bible says at Romans 3:23 that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".

He who has the Son has life but he that does not have the Son of God, does not have life. 1 John 5:12 Opposite of life is death so does not sound like anyone in Hell will be buring forever. So the answer is NOPE!!!

We are all sinners, and according to the Bible every one who sins is condemned to eternal punishment in hell.
The only way to avoid this is to accept Jesus Christ as the only one who can save you, as a result of his sacrificial death on the cross.

It seems to me that you've answered your own question, to your own satisfaction.
However, if there really is such a theological place of eternal punishment, I'm pretty sure that it's full of food that comes in those little packets, like ketchup, that you get at fast-food places.
Good luck in the convent.
