Good idea!

However, California, qualifies for that moniker as well.

They might have to fight for it.

Since we know Hawaii is known as paradise with gals and pineapple and straw skits.
And the sun never set on paradise ever.

So forget about calling Hawaii , the Land of setting sun.
And beside the sun rises in Japan when is sun down in Hawaii.

For the simple reason that Hawaii is further west than anywhere in the world (157 degrees West) except the people around Nome, Alaska, "setting sun" means west just as "rising sun" means East. Actually, though, it is Gisbourne in New Zealand that sees the sun "first".

The sun rises and sets here, just like everywhere else. It is just prettier in Hawaii.

The sun is always setting somewhere. It doesn't set just in Hawaii.

At least on Oahu, you can only see the sun set on one side of the island. I never see the sun set, only rise. I live on the windward sideeee!
