Nothing is WRONG!

They are gods or soon will be gods.

They wait for the Planet KOLOB to send people to them

They follow almost all of the Masonic Rituals and think they are their own.

Husbands must call their wives secret names or they are left behind when going to his own planet to populate.

Nothing wrong- or strange.

Well my aunt is mormon, and I can tell you that she's VERY weird, but then she was that way before she became mormon.

But you have to admit some of there beliefs are strange. I mean come on, Joseph smith had to decipher the book of mormon out of a hat using a special crystal, that only he could see. I mean thats either a huge amount of faith, or insanity. And according to my pastor there is a bit of insanity in faith, so who really knows? And the whole thing about inheriting a planet, and the woman forever being pregnant isn't all that normal. Or at least not kind to woman. Why can't the man be pregnant through eternity?

So many misconcieved notions and several of the over the top answers here prove it. It all comes from bit and pieces of information passed along from one curious person to another. Some answers to those questions have come from anti-Mormons who have taken some truth and mixed it with so much fiction and fantasy that it doesn't even come close to what the original truth really was. I can tell you that we don't think that women will be eternally pregnant. Silly of coarse to even believe. That is not even church doctrine. Yes you have to accept that Joseph Smith was ordained of God and really visited by an Angel.
That he was given the power to translate the Golden plates by GOD into the Book of Mormon those are probably the hardest things to believe. Since people don't think that GOD really still talks and guides his people today. To buy into this religion means that you accept that. We believe that there are great churches out there that teach truths from the teachings of Jesus Christ but that over the years they have branched of and men have made their own religions. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believe that we hold all the truths and keys that were a part of the original church restored in there completeness in these latter days never to be taken from the earth again. A careful study of the Bible will in many ways prove and give credence for many of the things we do and believe. What other church has baptism for the dead. Why would that be important in Bible times but not now. The Bible talks about it. Yet there are no other churches that practice that. There are several interesting article to read that also clarify many misconceptions that have been spread by the producers of the god makers, and like I said many other anti-mormon literature. The thing that most don't get is that this is what satan wants....he doesn't want people to find out hte truth for themselves, he fights it as hard as he can and spreads false lies whenever he can to drive those that might believe away.

These are true accurate sites not sites that would lead you to lies and false truths.

The next sites are sites dedicated to answering many of the false lies and questions that have arised from anti-mormon literature. For anything derogatory that has ever been put out you can go to these sites and have things clarified.

Next this last site has a very profound article that I think is worthy of some deep pondering and thought

I challenge anyone to go to the first link and look around, you just might learn something that will change your life and your way of thinking. After spending some time there you will realize that we are not crazy nor wierd. We just have important truths that help us to better understand what life is really all about.
Lastly I would like to leave a scripture that help me to come to this truth, it's something very simple and plain. I did what it said, and left the rest to GOD and the Holy Ghost. I received my answer, but realize and know that that is the only way in which a person can come to a full realization of the truths that I talk about.

3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
6 And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.
7 And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever.

Someone once told me that Mormons have a special longJohn underware that they wear underneath their clothes that they (the men) have to never take off even shower in. This came from a mormon and though I found it very hard to belive I cant help but think of that when I think of a mormon.

The cult of Joseph Smith, swindler and charlatan, who referred to his own followers as dupes. Joseph Smith born 1805 known to his neighbors as an untruthful, trouble making boy, given to pretended feats of magic and digging for buried treasure. At twenty-one was hauled into court as a disorderly person and impostor, pretended that an angel named Moroni sent by god revealed to him a sacred book written on gold plates, that he found in a stone box with a sword and breast plate. He pretended to have dictated the contents without unwrapping the plates, which only passages that possess any dignity are borrowings from the King James Bible, when pressured to produce these plates Smith said they were taken back to heaven. Smith was murdered in 1844 in an Illinois jail when he was thirty-nine being held for burning down the press of a newspaper that printed articles about him that he didn’t care for.

I think the fact that it is a weird cult that was founded by a crazy freak is a problem. Their secretive nature, the whole polygamy thing, and the fact that people are giving 10% of their money to their church is also a factor.

Also there are some shocking stories of those who escaped.

Closemindedness. Some religions used to hate Mormons, so they would spread lies and noone bothers to research it, they just belive it. The Mormon fundamentalists, the ones who practice polygamy are not recognized as part of the Mormon church.

They have a really screwed up religion, and there is a subgroup within them that practices polygamy. I have a friend who is Mormon, but I don't really like Mormons. They're really weird people.
