Your on the right track and sem like a nice young man. But do not get to mixed up in the EXACT words of the bible. The bible is only words and papper and was written by 1000's of different people over a long long time. Its true not alot of people belive in GOd anymore, its because we ae progressing into another era. God as you ae speaking exist as a Mightly being on a cloud, people still believe in God, they just might not admit to it or call it the same name. Step back and look at it from a diffeent angle.
Here is a question for you. Why do progressive, areas and cultures put little emphaiss on God? For example in Oklahoma there are churches everywhere, yet the state is bankrupt the people poor and its a real mess. Washington DC has few churches and booming to make nice things and improve the place.
Bible beating only goes so far

Tiger, so many people don't believe in God because they don't know what the truth is. They don't believe the bible which is the word of God. The bible is God's manual given to us to show us how we are to live our lives. They also don't know about God's plan. God has a plan for all mankind that He started at the beginning of time when he was working on creation. When God chased Lucifer out of the heavens he gave him the earth to dwell on. Lucifer became Satan who's plan is to decieve and fool as many people as he can. As you can see so far that it is working for him. When Satan twists the minds of the people who refuse to believe in God those people become ignorant to the truth. They will say anything they can think of against the bible and God. They will deny the very existance that God, Jesus, heaven, or hell are real. The bible says that many people will be fooled into following Satan. Some may say that they don't follow Satan, but yet they don't believe in God or the bible. Well, little do they know, but they have already fallen into Satan's grasp just by not believing.
Since God has this plan from the very beginning and he let us know about it through the writings of holy men inspired by him which is the bible then that is how the bible knows what has, is, and will happen. The bible is from God, God knows what will happen, and because he let us know in the bible that is why the bible is the truth. The bible is filled with many truths, but people who are against God will not accept it.
Like you have said Tiger, if you read the bible just a little you can see the bible tells the truth. Yes, that is a good statement, but most of these fools, as you have seen, want some type of proof. Well how much proof do they need when it is sitting right there in front of them. This planet and all the life there is in it didn't just happen by chance. But, then they'll say that nature chose this planet to blossom as it did. Well here they go contradicting their own words. If they say that nature chose then they are giving nature a thinking intelligent mind or intelligent design. So now they are in fact saying that there really is a God because we all know that nature can't think or make decisions. So why, out of all the planets, stars, solar systems, galaxies, and other objects in the universe did we come to be in existance on this one little lonely rock? Because that is where God put us. And, remember if there is no such thing as creation then where did all the life come from. If you say evolution then something had to have started from something in the very beginning. Not all life has always existed. Ever notice that when scientists try to evolve a life form out of something they always start with another life form? Why don't they do it with just a plain old lump of clay? Because they know that they have to start with a form of life and they don't have the power to speak it and it happened as God does.

There are many historical, scientific, and moral truths in the bible. I would challenge you to research some of them. Back in the day, they said that Nebucadnezer never existed as the reigning power in Babylon until some archeologists located his tomb with all his stuff in it. Someone said the bible said the earth was flat. Uh... that was the catholic church not the bible. Actually somewhere in the book of Job, there is a reference to the earth being round. A book written at least 3 thousand yrs ago.
There's all kinds of scientific evidence of a young earth that there was a worldwide flood.
The bible also says that in the end times there will be scoffers who will deny the flood and God's word.

As obvious as it seems to you that god exists, is exactly how obvious it is to me that god does not...
I can read anything into the bible if I try hard enough. I don't believe that it does say "whats going to happen".
To each his own though. If you believe and it works for you...great. More power to you. The world is big enough to accomodate lots of beliefs. Hopefully one day all the different belief systems will be able to co-exist better than we do now.

It is people's choice if they do not wish to have a religion or they think events that occurred in the Bible are exaggerations. Personally I believe and God and knowing that God is watching over me even in hard times my life is with ease.

I think that times were very simple at the time that the bible was created.. and when you have nothing to do but kick rocks all day then I'm sure that observing everyone else and there screw ups and writing what they think "god" thinks about it is going to make the day fly by. I however think for myself.

I read the Bible years ago. Fairy tales, not very different than Grimms.
It's a product of it's times.....we don't do things that way anymore.
I remember in 1966 the Pope was supposed to open some ancient letter revealing the END. Then they "decided not to share it's contents. that was 6/6/66

The bible proves nothing except itself. That's circular reasoning.
I am convinced there is no god because the evidence just isn't there.
And btw, even if there was a god, isn't it rather arrogant of you to assume the authority to make promises on his/her behalf? I'm not going to change my mind just because you make pretty promises, you know.

There's absolutely nothing real about the Bible. If you choose to believe it that's fine, but don't try to peddle your fairy tales as truth. It makes you sound like a zealot and a lunatic.
