It is frowned upon but not forbidden.
Abram's family did it, that's why God yanked him out of Ur.
The general sacrificed his daughter to God after the batle and God didn't stop him because he promised to do it.

I'm not sure but it should be forbidden by everything as far as myself (and common sense) are concerned. There's no need or point to killing an animal or a human for so-called "sacrifice". Animals are sacrificed everyday - we eat them! And humans are caught up in homicides and suicides. There's your human sacrifice for ya! I think I just lost my friggen appetite.

God stopped Abraham from sacrificing his son, yet he allowed Jephthah to butcher his own little girl. The difference is because in the Bible males are "good" but females are "bad". Boys have value, whereas girls are little more than farm animals.

well at one point god told I believe moses or abraham or one of them to sacrifice his son, when that person was about to do such a thing god suddenly spoke and told him not to, that it was a test of his faith, and that he would never require such a thing again, it never says that it's forbidden just that god would never REQUIRE it to be done.

No. There was some guy that god asked to kill one of his sons (Joseph?) and the guy had the kid on a pillar ready to kill him, but god said I just wanted to see how far you'd go for me.
