It means white Anglo Saxon protestant and means that the person or people being talked about have the values and lifestyle of a white protestant. Anglo means of English, Anglic, descent. Protestant means any Christian who is not Catholic. WASPs seem to be the dominant group in this country. The government and most businesses are dominated by this group. It therefore carries with it the idea that a WASP is also an oppressor of other races as well as a group which has little regard for other ethnic or religious groups.

WASP is an acronym for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. That in itself does not mean anything to you. However, the way it is used, when people are called a Wasp, they are being pegged as having a white supremacist attitude, who look down on other ethnic groups as inferior, and are proud of their own "racial purity". It is an arrogant attitude. These people are deceived. Real persons are inside black skin, white skin, red skin, yellow skin and whatever else color skin there is. We choose people according to their character, not their color. We choose socks according to their color, not their character. Some people have it mixed up.
