I would think you would be happy that you have raised your son in such a manner that he is able to make his own decisions instead of simply following what you believe.

Welcome to the real world. It sound to me like you have done a great job already. Take your situation and think how God felt after the fall of man in the garden of Eden. [Sad very sad] He gave man life a soul an habitation and told him not t eat of only one [1] tree in the garden. Ye man has free will and he disobeyed.
What did God do? John3:16 He gave his only begotten son to pay for the sin of mankind. To receive this forgiveness you must accept Jesus as Lord Rom 10:9-10
Well you brought forth a child and you lay ed upon him your love and affection all you could. Now he has turned from you and from God.
Wait a minute, if Jesus paid fr our sins on the cross, then forgiveness is available to your child. All he has to do is accept him as Lord. Wait a minute. You said that he already had done that and was baptized. Wow Then isn't he already saved?
When he was bad and naughty while growing up, did you disown him and throw him out? I don't think so, well neither will God.
Pray for him and thank God for his Son and BELIEVE!!!!!!
By the way we had six [6] kids, I know what you are going thru..

that is his business. you do not own your son. your job is to prepare him to be able to live in society. The idea of there being a GOD is not a fact. it is a common belief. The idea of God, is an invention in modern times. modern times meaning going back 7,000 years or more. humans have been on the planet for10s of thousnds of years. what ever happened to humans 20,000 years ago is the same thing that will happen to humans to day. back then it was not invented yet. because most people do not have integrity, society invented religion to put fear into them so they behave better. if the only reason you are good is because you want to go to heaven. then you are not living a life of integrity.

In the bible it states that once saved always saved. So never lose hope and pray for him because you are the responsible parent and the parent should pray upon their family. You shouldn't be concerned on his soul cause his soul is already chosen through Christ Jesus. Another thing he already knows right from wrong and he took a step on the right path as it looks the first time and it only takes one time for them to come back. Theres not many parents out there that are concerned for their family needs so pray for him and don't forget you are the responsible parent through Christ Jesus. That should be enough.Oh and another thing you should think positive because thats what God wants us to do.

What made your child say that? When you are a child you dont understand many things. God has chosen your child, when God chooses a person who wont let them go, even if they tried. Another thing pray like never before and ask God for wisdom and for Him to give you the understanding on how to approach this situation. Amen.. Sometimes we tried to run from God, but God is everwhere like David said...

Ask him why he chose the decision to not believe in God, and explain to him why he should. It's not best to push him to YOUR religious belief, but I can understand the fact that you want him to go to heaven. I just think you should talk to him and educate him about the powers that God has, and what God could do for his life. You also might want to tell him that he NOR you would be here if it wasn't for God.

If your son is legal age, you've done your job. All you can do is pray and hope he sees the Light.

If your son is still living under your roof and school age or a teen, he must abide by your rules until he leaves home. This could be a phase he is going through. Or he could be hanging out with the wrong people.

Perhaps you gave him too much freedom.

You are neurotic. Do you know what that means? If your child has considered the evidence and decided there is no "God" then maybe he's right?

Is he a good kid? Do you REALLY believe that if there is a God, and your kid is a good kid, that God will not allow him into heaven if something happens to him? Does that sound like the kind of God who deserves your respect? I certainly hope not!

Don't be so neurotic! LOL

You should be thrilled. You have managed to do something that few parents manage, you have given birth to a child who is smarter and better than you are. Congratulations. You have created an intelligent free thinking human. If you think that God is going to have him tortured for eternity for being a free thinker, then you should re-examine your belief system. How could a perfect being be so cruel and spiteful?

Do you really think GOD is going to blame anyone for not believing in GOD because humans question everything, that what separates us from the other animals, and gives no real hardcore evidence that GOD exist. I believe in "GOD" im not religious but understand more than most people. No human can be blamed for not believing in GOD.

I would ask my child to consider all of the wonders of the universe and their own existience. I would then ask them "If there is no God, where did this all come from?" Science cannot and will not ever be able to explain the beginning of existience because there will always be the question "what happened before that? " It is a paradox, nothing can come from nothing in science. God defies explanation, it is above our level of understanding.
