The sun stone is a part of the Nauvoo Temple and it does not stand as a satanic symbol. There are also stones with the moon and others with stars. It is representative of the three degrees of glory. It has nothing to do with satanic symbols. About the beehive, it represents being busy or industrious. It is also the state symbol of Utah. Mormons believe in not being idle and trying to do something productive with thier time. It has nothing to do with satan.

Well obviously enough people have answered this question telling you that this is a pagan thing, or it's not. As a Mormon I can confirm that it is not. But the additional information you put there is what I'd like to address. You asked about the beehive. I have been inside the Salt Lake Temple and there are indeed beehives carved into the door knobs. There is a simple reason for this, Brigham Young stated that the members of the LDS church should be industrial like the honey bee. So Deseret (as we call honey bees sometimes) is a symbol within our church to remind us to work hard. In fact Utah was supposed to be called Deseret until the government stepped in trying to oppress the LDS religion the best they could without actually going against the constitution which gave the LDS church the explicit right to exist.

Honestly do you bother doing any research on your own before you post a question? The sun symbol is more of a pagan nature not satanic, and the symbols come from the founders of the mormon church being in with the Freemasons...They put those symbols on all their buildings...Sort of like a trademark thing..and the symbols on the mormon temple are similar, as is the belief that the first 5 presidents of the mormon church were masons. This is why I stopped being religious..the misinformation is too painful...

Look, the Bible uses the symbolism of heavenly bodies to describe the work of God. Specifically, the symbols of the stars, the moon, and the sun are used in describing the next life (1 Cor. 15: 40-42 and other places). Is it a shock to find the same symbols on some LDS temples, given that the temple is about preparing us for the next life? Further, in Revelation 22:16, Christ refers to himself as "the bright and morning star," and for early Latter-day Saints, the morning star symbol referred to the coming of Christ and His millennial reign - a perfectly appropriate symbol for the temple. For documentation, please see the excellent article by Matthew Brown, "Inverted Stars On LDS Temples," available at http://www.fairlds.org/pubs/Stars.pdf, 2002. This article also shows that stars, including inverted stars, were used by early Christians as valid Christian symbols. Inverted stars did not become associated with the occult until after the time of Joseph Smith, as Brown documents. The symbol of the star - whether it has five or six points - and the pentagram can be used for good or evil purposes. The fact that Satan worshippers have given evil meanings to the star, the broken cross, the goat, the moon, or whatever does not make the symbols inherently evil.
Similarity in symbols does not mean similarity in meaning. The cross-like Ankh symbol was used in pagan rituals of Egypt, but that does not make the symbol of the cross something pagan (though we prefer not to use the cross to remember Christ, wishing to focus on his victory over death through the Resurrection). If I walk into a cathedral and see a cross, it would be silly for me to condemn the Catholics for promoting pagan Egyptian rites with that symbol. The same applies to those who see stars, moons, or suns on the Salt Lake Temple.

I have never been in a Mormon church but i have known alot of mormons and they have the Bible all twisted up , as a matter of fact they have created there own Bible so its not even the holy Bible they read from, they also believe in alot of things that contradict the word of God, as far as the symboles if they dont know the true word of God then its fitting that they have these symboles, Man they even believe that God had to choose between Jesus and Satan to which one he will send to be the savior, weird religion, I think anyone can take one verse from the Bible and start there own religion. ty

There are none.
Often times people who mistrust or dislike a given religion will attribute some sort of evil symbolism to that religion's icons in an attempt to bring it down and to make themselves feel better about not being a part of that religion. It's especially easy to do if there are enough similarities between the "evil" icons and those of the religion in question, but any vague similarity will do.

Yes. you are right. I have books about the Mormon religion. But the satanic symbols are also present in other religions, such as Catholicism, The Masons and others.

I'm not Mormom, but I can tell you that this religion doesn't have a satanic ounce in its beliefs...or symbols. They are all into Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. Something scary tho, look at a picture of the pope with his big/tall hat on and you'll see a line of Roman Numerals. Do the math like we were tought in school and come up with the number the Roman Numerals equal.....666!!!! Check it out for yourself.......

Okay, so you hate Mormons...that's your problem, keep it to yourself. I think you should get true facts about things before spreading them. Ask questions to people who are around the temple grounds, I am talking the missionaries and some of the temple workers. Don't just rely on the internet and your friends who don't like Mormons either to give you that information.
Man....don't be starting problems and slamming other religions. Keep your hateful thoughts and your lack of facts to yourself.

Well this isn't really a symbol but the bible clearly states that it is the one and only true word of God, and everything else is blasphamy. so by that, and that alone the mormon church is not in the right with God.
