What was God thinking??? Read details...?

Those evil humans down on earth. I hate what they are doing. All this sin...

Since I am all-knowing I know exactly what the humans are doing and I understand exactly why they commit each sin. Since I created the humans in my own image and personally programmed human nature into their brains, I am the direct author of all of this sin. The instant I created them I knew exactly what would happen with every single human being right down to the nanosecond level for all eternity. If I didn't like how it was going to turn out, I could have simply changed them when I created them. And since I am perfect, I know exactly what I am doing. But ignore all that. I hate all these people doing exactly what I perfectly designed them to do and knew they would do from the moment I created them. I HATE IT! I tried killing all the humans and animals once in the flood. That certainly did not fix the problem.

So here's what I am going to do. I will artificially inseminate a virgin. She will give birth to an incarnated version of me. The humans will eventually crucify and kill the incarnated me. That, finally, will make me happy. Yes, sending myself down and having the humans crucify me -- that will satisfy me. I feel much better now.

It makes no sense, does it? Why would an all-knowing being need to have humans kill himself (Jesus is God, after all) to make himself happy? Especially since it is a perfect God who set the whole thing in motion exactly the way he wanted it? The whole story of the crucifixion is absurd from top to bottom if you actually stop to think about it.

[Correction: God programmed FREE WILL. Human nature as currently constituted is fallen, a result of the first deliberate act of defiance.]

[Obviously, your error changes everything. God gave us the ability to choose Self over Him. That makes US the author of our own sin.]

[Well, okay, I designed them as potential friends. Problem is, they don't really have enough information at the moment. The Angels were given full disclosure. That is why
those of them who chose Self became demons without hope for redemption. But humans don't
get full disclosure, at least not in the same way. The sin part is a problem, though.
Especially since NO ONE seems willing to choose other than Self. All these poor people
are killing themselves off eternally! This is not acceptable! And it hardly seems fair,
since they don't understand the deal or the stakes.

I tried killing all the humans and animals once in the flood. **That certainly did

[Correction: Truth is objective. Even I can't change that. The wages of sin is death,
and mankind has sinned. So how to save any of them? Bookkeeping is... inconvenient.
Good thing I'm All Powerful, because the conflict here between Justice and Mercy is
real killer. If only they could survive death. Or if someone else could pay the
debt they owe... now there's a thought. I can take any punishment without harm. So how
do I arrange that? How about setting up something called a 'kinsman redeemer'? A rich family member may pay the debt owed by a poor person. That would give Me the right
to pay the debt, if I were a kinsman. That means becoming one of them. Well, can't be helped, if I want to fill Heaven with friends and not puppets. But what value do people who don't appreciate what I've done for them have? I should at least ask that they be grateful. Is that asking too much of them? We shall see...

First of all, you aren't God, aren't we all glad... Then - just because He knows what will happen, doesn't mean that He designed it that way. He gave men a free will. You can choose to bad mouth Him in anyway you choose, He won't stop you, but, it doesn't make you right, or change the fact that He didn't tell you to do it. He will still love you, and hope that you ask for forgiveness some day. It won't change the outcome of not asking Him for forgiveness...No matter what you say or believe.
The rules He set were for your protection, yes, some will disobey, as in any family, there are kids who disobey and ones who obey, the good ones are rewarded, the bad have to receive the consequences for their disobedience. It is obvious that you've never met Him...May you come to know the kind loving Father He is to His children.

There is more to the story of creation and the crucifixon than you realise. Firstly, when God made Adam and Eve, they WERE perfect and WITHOUT SIN! The sinful nature of man came into play when the devil entered the scene. Because God wanted us to love him from our hearts, He didn't make us like robots - He gave us FREE WILL! Because we are "human" by nature (tempted to please our flesh), God sent Jesus as a ransom, so that through His death and the spilling of His blood, we could be reconciled again to the Father. IBefore you knock the God of your own creation, how about reading into it a bit more and keeping your mind open to ALL possibilities. We only call something "stupid" because we don't understand it. Hello Redhotchilipeppers, The crucifixion of Christ is another example of Gods love for us. Because it was a decision God made before he created anything. The death and Resurrection of Jesus was eternally decided upon. God knew mankind would fall because He's all knowing. Having a creation that could choose to love him or hate him. To willing sin and die in it, or repent and turn to God for forgiveness. To know him personally, to feel his love and to love him. Is more important than us being unable to make decisions and not choose for ourselves. God Bless.

i do not communicate for God; so, i visit't say for positive! yet suffice it to assert that your habit become infantile, egocentric, and not in any respect one in all those habit that would please God. wow / I'm sorry you feel you should try and crush peoples faith because you have none. if you do not believe why do you let it fill your heart and soul with so much hate.
