It's always important to have grains and some carbs in your diet. The flour in white bread and most white foods is bleached, which is why whole grain and whole wheat breads and other "brown" goods are preffered for eating healthy.

That is something you better talk to your doctor about. BUT if they say no flour, they may mean both white and wheat. Flour does break down into sugar in our systems.

I personally think the "no flour, no sugar diet" is stupid and bound to fail .People need sugar and flour in their diets and if they don't get it they will go off the diet in a instant

All diet plans are fads. Just remember if you can burn more calories than you can consume, you will always lose weight. Eat balanced and healthy foods. Eliminating any constituent to lose weight eg carbs is only a temporary fix.
