I too recommend head and shoulders and a conditioner.
Try not to wash daily as this is bad for your hair. Some oil in the hair is essential for healthy hair.

Shampooing your hair...there are some tricks!
never use hot water..use tepid
use about a quarter size amount of shampoo and massage it into your scalp from front to back
rinse..this should take between 3-5 minutes
apply conditioner from the ends of your hair up to the roots (not the other way around) and comb it gently through your hair
rinse another 3 minutes, followed by a blast of cool water to help seal
blot your hair dry, don't tousle...not good for your hair or the style

Try two different brands the specify for oily hair. Alternate between brands every week or two. The reason for this is that shampoo's have added ingredients that promote softness in your hair, kind of like a wax build-up. If you use the same brand over and over the build-up makes you hair appear dingy even after just washing it. Switching brands allows the hair to be free of build-up and makes you hair shiny and cleaner looking.

Neutrogena... I swear by it. During my first year of university, I lived in residence and the water was such that it made my hair greasy all the time. I'm not sure why that was, but the only thing that helped was Neutrogena shampoo and conditioner. You could also try a purifying shampoo too every once in a while, I still do that now.

If you wash your hair daily you get used to it being so clean and fresh. If you leave it a couple of days you will notice the oil and lack of body more than someone who is used to washing their hair less frequently. Just bear in mind that the models you see advertising hair products on television all have hair similar to yours. Because it is your type of hair which is capable of looking fantastic when it is freshly washed, dryer hair may look ok much of the time but never good enough to promote hair products.

I have hair that needs washed 2 or 3 times a day because of my oily skin.

I wash my hair once a week with Dawn dish soap to strip the oils, and then I have a manageable once a day washing regimen.

Only because of the Dawn soap at the start of the week to strip the oil can I NOT have to wash my hair so often.

Good luck!

Regular cheap Suave shampoo, it's called "clarifying" and it's a clear shampoo. It's like two dollars and it does its job well. There is also a new spinoff line of Herbal Essences, I use this kind called "Drama Clean" and it smells very good. It's in a green wavy bottle.

Any shampoo or conditioner for oily hair is good. The key is to use it every other day. Try powdering your hair to remove greasiness when you have no time to shower. Run your comb through afterwards.

if you've got greasy hair, dont bother goin 2 the trouble of shampooing it, especially if your in a rush. i suggest sprinkling talcum powder on it, and rubbing it in, then brushin it. sounds ridiculous i know, but trust me, it works! or if you want a shampoo that keeps ur hair shiny for longer, get sunsilk 48hr shampoo and conditioner. its amazing! it stops ur hair getting greasy 4 48 hrs! brilliant!
