Yes whatever act of wind you would have do appologize, however if no one heard, why appologize? To whom? Don't keep it, it might hurt later, hey at least some people think about appologizing. It is a normal thing to do. Why not? Some consider i impolite, I don't . I mean yes, if you can try to keep it quiter then usual but let it out.

It's better belch than squelch! Trust me, if you try to prevent it from coming out the front door, it will find it's way out the back. Saying "excuse me" after a slightly embarrassing burp is a lot better than trying to pretend that the odor emanating from your rear was caused by someone else.

Belching is natural, but you could quietly say excuse me.
But a FART if held in travels to your brain and then becomes a shitty idea!! lol
