Christians misinterpet the Bible? Or SOME Christians misinterpet the Bible? Can you judge a whole religion based on the folks at Yahoo?

While I'm not a huge fan of religion, in effect, there is no misinterpretation of the Bible. The Bible is not a factual book, filled with sources, proofs or verifiable experiments. So that leaves fiction. As such, whatever one might come to believe from it, is an interpretation and you cannot prove that it is a misinterpretation. While some interpretations might be disagreeable and vile to some people, others might be more palatable.

Let's step away from religion for a second. HISTORIANS,not theologians,BUT HISTORIANS, admit that the BIBLE is true. I'm not twisting anything from the bible or adding to the bible or taking away from the bible simply stating a known fact. Much of the bible is left to translation but the part that all christians believe is that the way to heaven is through CHRIST who died on the cross for our sins. All you have to do is accept that. This is the only salvation issue. The parts left to translation were left that way because they don't matter for your salvation. GOD BLESS YOU IN YOUR PURSUIT OF FAITH.

not only do they add their own words, they refuse to admit the words that are in the bible, some guy said to give him bible quotes of Jesus telling people to kill, so I put down
Matthew 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace: I came not to send peace but a sword."
Luke 22:36 "He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."
Luke 19:27 "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me."
he said I was grasping at straws, what the purpose for swords back then were to shish kabob, and the meaning of slay was something other than murder: kill intentionally and with premeditation.

No, like most carnal minds you can't understand spiritual things, so you twist and pervert the Scriptures for your own needs. Even the Bible says that!

Well, shame on them, how could they do that.
Someone else had a different interperation? How dare them.
Did you notice how many churches there are in your town?
Ours has dozens of churches and they all believe something different. So is it any wonder that answers does the same thing.
