I think that hurt is very deep and never truly goes away...however, if one decides to change their sexual preference, its not because of the hurt, that would be the excuse and justification used to do what one really wants to do.

no, you sexual preference is not changable but they may be in denial and hiding in the closet. In my opinion I think it's impossible to change your preferance
