You need a better trans. Try this one:
Luke17:20 But on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, he answered them and said: “The kingdom of God is not coming with striking observableness, 21 neither will people be saying, ‘See here!’ or, ‘There!’ For, look! the kingdom of God is in YOUR midst.”

Luke 17:21, KJ: “Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you [also TEV, Dy; but “among you,” KJ margin, NE, JB; “in the midst of you,” RS; “in your midst,” NW].” (Notice that, as shown by verse 20, Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees, whom he also denounced as hypocrites, so he could not have meant that the Kingdom was in their hearts. But the Kingdom as represented by Christ was in their midst. Thus The Emphatic Diaglott reads: “God’s royal majesty is among you.”)

I think first we must ask, what is heaven? I believe that heaven really is not so much a place as it is a state of consciousness.

This state is the consciousness of Oneness with God. The is a state of peace, love, bliss, forgiveness, illumination, power, creativity and all the aspects or qualities of God.

Unfortunately, most people believe that heaven or God is outside of themselves - many believe that God is angry being in the sky.

Jesus was admonishing us not to follow this way, the way that seems right unto a man as it leads to all the errors that humanity has been prone to throughout recorded history.

That way is the way of seperation from God rather than way of experiencing God right within your heart and mind, right within your own being.

In fact, the way of seperation is the "fake" way to God while the real way is to realize God within yourself. Most regretably, this is the way most Christians are following, looking for God's kingdom outside of themselves.

Jesus was telling us that we do not need an outer text (like the Bible or Koran) an outer minister, an outer guru or an outer savior to experience heaven, but rather we can experience it directly within ourselves.

This is the way I believe the kindgom of God will come into manifestation on earth. Not by some outer event like a "rapture" but rather when one by one each of us unites with the God within and becomes the Christ like Jesus did. In this way, God can live in and through us and transform this darkened planet into a platform for a golden age of peace and plenty for all.

I think that what Jesus meant was that the feeling we get from within when we are in love, or the feeling we get when we look at something so beautiful words can't begin to describe it, or the feeling we get when we find something so funny we cant even stop to breathe, all that is heaven. It's not a big gold throne on a cloud. It's peace within and love we can only begin to understand.

Not the same thing at all. Try very hard to understand this, it's from my book "The Plain truth About God-101 (what the church doesn't want you to know!)

One of the core sayings of Jesus was "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, nor will they say 'Lo, here it is!' or 'There!' For behold, that kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
Jesus tells us quite clearly that the "Kingdom of God" is not a coming kingdom, or a future kingdom, but rather something already in and amongst his disciples. It is not a place, but rather a state of mind!
To quote James Breech once more: "Your concept of the kingdom of God, whether it belongs to the future mythological conceived, in either eschatological or apocalyptic terms, misses the reality of the kingdom.
The symbolism really refers to a power that is a basic factor in human experience!"
In the teachings attributed to Jesus, it is abundantly clear that he was an apocalyptic teacher who believed that the world would end within the lifetime of the people to which he was speaking.
The foundation of these teachings was that human beings could be saved by both believing his word and by modeling their lives on the higher moral law of God. That higher moral law was the foundation of Jewish law.
To this end, he believed that Pharisaical teaching were an appropriate guide to following this higher moral law: His criticism of the Pharisees was that they did not live by what they taught.
In line with this higher moral law, Jesus of Nazareth preached an ethics of selfless concern for the welfare of others, rejection of material wealth, and non-retribution, all of which were standard in Jewish ethics.
In his statements, Jesus of Nazareth explicitly rejects government and politics as a legitimate sphere of human action.
The religion that he taught was an intensely individual religion. Righteousness, which means the performance of right actions, was not a quality of actions but rather a quality of the interior state of the individual.

No, I think that what that meant is that the Holy Spirit, which is part of the kingdom of Heaven, is within all of us, so we all have a piece of that divinity inside.

That's not what he meant. They were asking about the kingdom of God. He is the king of that real government that will rule over the earth. As the king he said, it is in your midst.
Meaning he was the king and the one who would establish that kingdom on the earth. Later he said, "The meek will inherit the earth." He was in their midst. He was the king of that kingdom.
Was that kingdom in Hitler? NO. it is not within wicked people

Nothing in that statement alludes to heaven being fake. If you are an athiest, why are you here? Do you want to learn about God? I must tell you that there are no real athiests, whether you want to believe it or not. Read Romans 1:18-20. Or not, it is up to you. Take care.

Subject: Love and Obey.

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice
and be glad all our days.
( PSALM 90:14 KJV )

Dear Loved One,
God is a friend and companion for those who
love and obey His Word. For as king David said, THY
WORD IS A LAMP UNTO MY FEET, AND A LIGHT FOR MY PATH.
( PSALM 119:105 )

After all it is written; THE LORD HIMSELF GOES
BEFORE YOU AND WILL BE WITH YOU; HE WILL NEVER LEAVE
YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. So why not spend a little time in
prayer with God each and every day. You will find
Him to be your very best Friend indeed! Amen.

I would now like to share a poem with you,
David. It is called.....

"My Unseen Guest"

God walks the trail with me each day,
He is my Friend, My Guide
However long or steep the road,
He's ever by my side.

He sits with me in evening's hush;
We speak, we laugh, we pray,
And my heart sings a joyful song...
He's never far away.

And through each dark and lonely night,
He's guarding from above.
In perfect peace, I rest secure
In His eternal love.

Poet, Lee Simmons

With My Love & Prayers,

David
