There really is no permanent way to straighten your hair. Your only real options at home are chemical products (relaxers) or using a flat iron, both of which you said you don't want to use. However, the best way to straighten your hair at home is to blow-dry it straight with a brush *then* use a flat iron. It's obviously not permanent but the results are great.

You can also use a straigtening product, like Redken straightening balm, that will temporarily straighten out your hair.

The most permanent option is Japanese straightening (aka thermal), but you have to have it done at a salon.

ok first of all there is no such thing as a permanent straightenener, as soonest ur hair grows out it will be whatever it turns out too, second off, the only way to make ur hair straight is

1. use a straightening iron
2.relax it , aka chemically straightening.

now see, the only thing u can do at home, i mean first off u can go to the nearest sallys and MAYBE buy your own relaxing kit. u should just straighten your hair with an iron.

Go to the drug store and in the isle with the hair color, you will find the chemical straighteners. I would not suggest it though, I did it and it really dried out my hair..and didn't work that great. Flat Irons with a straighten balm works best (for me anyway). I have very fine, thin hair. Like babies hair
