can I can them or what? Ive never done anything but eat them but I have 6 lbs. and dont want them to go to waste. thanks in advance, quickly! lol

GRANDMA's GRAPE JELLY
3 lbs grapes
7 cups sugar
1/2 bottle Certo
To prepare juice, stem grapes.
Crush thoroughly.
Add ½ cup water.
Bring to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes. Place in cloth bag and squeeze out juice. Measure 4 cups juice into pan, add sugar and mix well. Place on high heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in certo. Bring to a rolling boil. Boil hard for 1 minute.
Remove from heat, skim and pour into jelly glasses. Parafin at once.

GRAPE FREEZER JAM
3 cups crushed grapes
5 1/4 cups sugar
1 box Sure-Jell
Measure fruit into large bowl. Measure sugar into medium bowl. Stir sugar into fruit.
Set aside for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Stir Sure Jell into 3/4 cups water in small pan.
Bring this mixture to a boil on high heat stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir Sure Jell mixture into fruit. Stir constantly until sugar is completely dissolved and no longer grainy (about 3 minutes).
Pour quickly into clean plastic containers to within 1/2 inch of tops. Wipe off top edges of containers. Cover with lids. Let stand to room temp. Then store in fridge for immediate use or Freezer for up to 1 year. Thaw in fridge.

CREAM CHEESE GRAPES WITH NUTS
1 lb seedless grapes
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups finely chopped toasted nuts (Pecan or walnut work well)
Beat together until smoothe the cream cheese and Mayo. Add grapes and gently stir to coat them. Put the nuts on a sheet of wax paper and roll each coated grape in the nuts. Place grapes on a cookie sheet and chill for at least an hour. When ready to serve arrange grapes on the serving platter in the shape of a bunch of a grape cluster and decorate with a couple of green leaves or silk leaves.

BANANA AND GRAPE SMOOTHIE
1 cup purple grapes
1 banana
1/2 cup orange juice
Combine all ingridents in a blender and blend until well blended.

ORZO, GRAPE AND PISTACHIO SALAD
1 lb orzo pasta
2 cups red grapes
2 cups toasted shelled pistachios
1 cup chopped basil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup walnut oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
Toast pistachios: Take 1 cup of pistachios and put in a saucepan with the walnut oil.
Warm the oil and nuts together, be careful not to boil. Saute garlic in a little olive oil.
Prepare orzo from package instructions.
When orzo has been drained, mix in enough of the pistachio/walnut oil mixture to coat the pasta. Add lemon juice to taste. Mix in sauteed garlic. Add grapes, and half the basil.
Chill for several hours, or overnight.
Before serving, add rest of basil, salt and pepper to taste, and the rest of the pistachios.

Directions
Wash ripe but not over ripe grapes (a few green ones add to success.) and drain.
Put into a large kettle and cook over medium heat until grapes are soft.
Put into jelly bag and drain. (add no water)
Now use 2 cups juice at a time - not more.
Bring two cups juice to a boil (full rolling boil)
Reduce heat and add three cups sugar. Mixture must not boil after sugar is added.
Stir constantly til sugar is dissolved. Very important for jelly will crystalize if sugar isn't dissolved.
Pour into glasses immediately and cover with paraffin
This same receipe makes delicious jam using the grape pulp.
