You are going to get a lot of nasty comments on here for a question like that...but (if you are willing) I wouldn't mind having a legitimate conversation with you about the separation of church and state.
I think we will still have a secular government and freedom of and from religion. Otherwise America as we know it will cease to exist and most Americans will either move or revolt or something.
I am not a Christian nor a Muslim but I do live in America and know enough about Christianity to hold a conversation about it.
I personally don't care for living under "christian-based" law...which is a loose term. Even though there is a separation of church and state here it does not always seem to be completely separate. But I wouldn't want to live under any other religion's laws either. Governments can only be successful when they are secular.
You can believe whatever you want to believe, I respect that. But when you force your beliefs on others they will never truly believe, they will pretend to just to appease you...but fake worship is worse that no worship in my mind.

One of the purest and most beautiful religions on Earth is that of the Sufi Muslim. Beyond that, Islam is no better than run-of-the mill Christianity. It is not a superior religion-- being brutal and aggressive just proves you're brutal and aggressive, not better, not more favored by God. Americans will never live under Sharia, because Americans love freedom, and Sharia is all about control.

Since most of what the Koran preaches is the same as Christianity & Judaism I dont see it would be so bad.

We'd just do what we do now - accomodate all religions and refuse to put up with the extremism which exists under any interpretations thereof.

Given the vast majority of Europe, India, the rest of the Americas China and Japan are to a greater or lesser degree of the same thinking and that most of our Muslim brothers & sisters in the Middle East and Africa long to have access to all the benefits & freedoms we are lucky enough to enjoy in the West surely you have to see that even if your arguments were reasonable, its impossible for your interpretation of the great Islamic religion to succeed.

That's a tough question. I figure that at the rate Moslems are killing off Moslems today there should be twenty, maybe thirty Moslems left by the end of the century.

But then, when we all have to convert, we'll be able to kill them off because then we can be radicals too. But then who'll give us Sharia? We'll be too new at the religion to understand all that.
