Why do people...??

Why do people show their ignorance by asking questions on here that demean others based on religon, sex, race, national orgin, ETC?

Why are some people so intolerant of people who aren't just like them?

Kelly, honestly I think it the venue more than 'the real world'. I have noticed the ignorance and intolerance of people that give answers on this venue. Some are doing it for attention, others think they are being funny, some simply feel that they are right.

I wish I knew why some people are so intolerant of others that aren't just like them, unfortunately this exists in our society, but more so on the Internet because the answerer's are anonymous and mostly young people. There are alot of younger folks that do give wonderful answers, but there are always going to be the opposite that are seeking attention and they perceive their answers as being 'entertaining' when in actuality, they are simply reinforcing the way we perceive them, the exact opposite of what it is that they really want. Young people with stupid answers are simply that, they are young and stupid but they do not wish to be seen that way; why do they do it ? It is a self-fulfilling prophecy and they don't realize that they are perpetuating their own stereotype.

There are a lot of different people on here with a lot of different back grounds. The Report Abuse button helps keep hatred, racism and other insulting things down if people will just use it.

because people think their religion, or their race, or orgin is the only one- they dont consider others feelings whatsoever- Its horrible when people wish me a merry christmas- when i dont even celebrate it- but i tolerate it and wish them a happy hannuka back. Its because people don't think! They dont even think of anyone but themselves.

some ppl aren't aware of what they actually do and it is quite sad ppl should take into account the actions that they cause because sometimes those actions can be damaging and hurtful.
