Sounds like a myth to me.
I guess all the blood and torture in the story was just to make modern Christians feel guilty so they'll stay in the fold. Cause when you doubt and sin you're mocking Christ like before and hurting him.
Bunch of crap . . .

Yes he was and there's many ancient Roman documents to prove it. I would bring the bible up but lets face it, a document canot prove itself.
At the time the worst thing in Jewish culture that could be done is blaspheme. The Jewish leaders evwen though they had the prophesies to show he was God incarnate viewed him as a threat so they disposed of him and part of that was "showing" the people at the time that he wasn't actualy God in man. However, this posed another problem. At the time the Palestinian province was under Roman rule and therefore was not permitted to execute so they had to bring him before the governor under the charge of treason for calling himself the King of the Jews.
Roman law at the time had no blaspheme law unless it was against the Roman gods and seeing the Jewish people at the time as troublemakers anyway the governor really did not want to execute him. The governor attempted to get Jesus (a.k.a. Yeshua) to deny that he was God and King of the Jews to no avail. So, Jesus was first tortured him thinking that the Jews might not attempt an overthrow or a riot if he did that and therefore not have to deal with this problem as he saw it. They screamed even louder for His execution.
This was in Passover season. During this time it was customary for the Jews to free a prisoner (they still had partial control over the region, sort of like our state/ federal system of America today) so he gave them the choice of a mass murderer of Jesus being freed to no avail. To Governor Pilate's shock they freed Braabas instead.
Does that clarify the subject a bit. The rest is kinda murky. I would say more but; as I said, a document canot prove itself.

Yes he was crucified. Crucifixion is a popular form of Roman execution. In fact you can be crucified by just having your arms tied to a cross and left there. In a few day's you'll lungs will drown in their own fluid. But that takes too long and executions were high entertainment back in the day so some areas nailed people to the wood.
The Romans had it in for Christ and added a few extras in his death they didn't usually use like the thorns but yes, Crucifixion is very real. Interestingly enough had the Jews killed Christ, he would've been stoned too death not crucified. But this is a proven historical fact.

Crucifixion was the popular form of execution in those times. Your usage of king and prince are confusing with no clear meaning regarding your statements. Pontious Pilot turned to the mob and offered to free Jesus; the crowd refused and freed another man. There are literally thousands of books that can clarify what occurred with the crucifixion of Jesus. Perhaps the King James version of the bible is difficult for you to read. Personally, I found it tedious. Have a great day. I wish you well on your search for the truth.

are you serious ? at that time crucifying someone was the main way to punish and put to death criminals . there is proof of thousands being put on a cross , at the same time that there was supposed to be a Jesus . i don't know about the whole son of god thing ,since it was men who wrote the bible (and man has been known to lie),i take everything with a grain of salt .
as for forgiving the prisoners once the prince was dead , just means that Pilate(the roman ) was understanding that people can follow someone for a lot of reasons and they don't necessarily need to die for them .

lol im just gona laugh at u. ya know y? cuase there is more proof that a jewish prophet named Jesus died on a cross 2 thousand years ago, then there is that a certain guy named socrates drank some poison and killed himself. if u studied theology at all u would know that. duhhhh~
the real thing u should b saying is "i dont belive Jesus was God" cuase if He wasnt, then the question wouldnt even matter, y would u care if He died or not if He was just a dude?
the answer to ur other question, "where is the logic?" the answer comes in 2 parts
1)y the hell do u care if they used logic in killing Him, if he was "just d dude"
2) only a perfect sacrifice could atone for the sins of humanity. since only God is perfect. God had ot become man in order for there to b a perfect human sacrifice.
3) ur rite. a human would hardly b able to b expected to let his only son die to save a servent. but God is not some human. consider it a compliment He loved u so much to let His only son suffer for a mere chance of adopting u into His loving family.

Actually there is no reason to believe he wasn't crucified, in fact it was a common practice in that day. The below links provides a bit of history on the practice.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crucify
There was a high level of public pressure to see Christ crusified by those that didn't follow him, there is a good chance it was as much of a political move of self presevation as it was a punishment.

what are u, a moron? the fact is, that we all sin. if we sin we cant be with God (the King). in order to take away the sin, a sacrifice must be made. those are the rules. because we cant be with God, Jesus (the prince and son) tells His Dad that He will go down, become human and sacrifice Himself so that we can be forgiven. therefore, yes, the innocent One died for us. And because of it, we can all be with God as long as we ask for forgiveness.

The Bible tells us that Jesus died for our sins because he loves us. God required animal sacrifices before Christ's sacrifice as attonement for sins. I don't know or understand why Christ had to die. Maybe it was to convince us he loves us and really is the son of God. I know that this is not a 2000+ year old hoax, and it wasn't made up. There are eyewitness accounts. I believe because I read the Bible and pray, and God tells me in my heart that it is true. We are instructed to have faith. Faith is believing without any evidence other than what you believe in your heart. Ask God. He will tell you if you really want to know.

Crucifixion was a commonplace death for the Romans to apply. They used to line the roads of their vanquished with the crucified, to put fear in the hearts of their enemies. In a way, that Jesus was crucified was pretty anti-climactic.
