Heaven is not something easily attained. Jesus' apostles were rewarded with heavenly life, but look what they went through as his followers. They were thrown in prison, beaten, and persected constantly thoughout their ministry. They remained faithful until death. The Bible says that "faith without works is dead." So a person must be more than just good to be rewarded life in heaven. There are many people who may be lead a good and respectable life, but they do not believe in God. So not all good people go to heaven.

I have always done my best to walk with integrity no matter what spiritual path i have been on. I dont know if being good will get me into heaven or not. But I do believe following my heart and seeking the truth in all things is a good place to start.

Because it is easier to think that way. It gives people an excuse to do wrong, but do more right. No one wants to have to answer to God. So, it is easier to say that He is too good to send anyone to the lake of fire, or that He just doesn't exist. But, to say you are a good person and that will get you into heaven, you must say as such, that God is real. You can't have heaven without God.

The road to heaven in paved with good intentions. What God asks from us isn't hard to give him. Just admit that you are a sinner, and repent and take his son as your savior. The hard part? Admitting to anyone we are wrong is hard enough to do, to say nothing of admitting it to God. Take care.

Apparently a lot of people need a reason to be good (a reward) so many religions have their followers believe that being "good" (whatever good is to that religion) will get them rewarded with an afterlife of joy and happiness..

Kinda sad to think that many of those people wouldn't be "good" otherwise...

God is not the condescending hypocritical asshole youve protrayed her to be christians. A quote from Dogma: God has a sense of humor look at the platypus. I dont want any tight *** republican telling me how to live my life and how to go to heaven. Im an angel God damn it! and im not a demon either. You can call me that if you wish but the more you call angels that are not demons demons the more bad karma YOU will have.

It's not about good works; it's about God's grace. Many people forget that.
Happy Sabbath.

They just cannot comprehend a God loving them so much that He gave His only begotten SON to die in their place on the Cross for forgiveness of their wicked ways (sin).
The would rather try to EARN their way instead of doing it the EASY way of accepting Him as their substitute and Savior.

cry cry.......so sad.......

I don't! We go to heaven, because God is just and merciful. God can throw everyone in Hell, if it was for our actions, but He is merciful.
