My hair is black with red tips at my chin, its parted side with side bangs like this:http://www.nwe.ufl.edu/~ltaylor/other/hair/bob1.jpg but diff color and a tad shorter, I had it cut really short in the back to spike it, I'm now growing it to my shoulders.

When should I cut the back so its long [I dread the short hair because my hair is wavy] and one length? It is growing all sperate do to the way it was cut for spiking.

Yes, I am a girl btw! lol My hair is similar to a bob!

I think i've figured that when the bottom section is at my shoulders is that the front will be there or a little less, and the top section will be at my choker [where the bottom is now] and so i'll trim it to be even around then?

I have a hair cut that is almost identical and my hair is very wavy as well.
I would suggest to keep allowing it grow until the back is about chin length. After that point you can cut the front so it is even with the back. If you cut the front before that, I think it would be difficult to style (knowing that you have wavy hair.
Hopes this helps! My hair is past chin length in the front, but very short in the back. It looks very nice, and with less hair in the back it is cooler and easier to style.

Yes i agree with A R

Have the front trimmed untill the shorter sections have caught up.
Your hairdresser will still need to take the very ends of the back, otherwise by the time its caught up you will have split ends.

Once its all one length, you will still need to have regular trims even if you want to grow it

Good luck!

so it was texturized in the back to keep the length one length, but be able to spike as well?

the texturizing should grow out in about 2 or 3 months. depending on how quickly your hair grows NATURALLY.
this should be enough time for the short, inside layering to have enough weight to fall.

then, only trim (not the inside layers - for weight) on the new (not full) moon.

ive always loved wavy hair when its long or even shoulder length.... but red and black is waaay to gothic and trust me goths to me are a no no they dont seem origanal anymore. if i were you i would let your hair grow out and straighten it until its shoulder length. after so dye your hair its natural color and use a salt spray and a frizzz tamer on your hair after shower then go to bed. you will b bea-u ti-ful! muah!

I think you should just let it grow but try different hairstyles that will focus on the front not the back.

I think you should wait until it has grown a bit to get it cut..... that's the best way to avoid it being too short...
