Today we see that teen or child obesity has increased in the last twenty years, and that this problem is becoming worse, but does anyone really know the different causes. We all know that obesity is caused by doing no physical activity and eating large amounts of food, but my concern is that some teens or children who are not obese are doing the same,so that tells us that obesity is controlled by the environment. So off course that tells us when parents are obese one or two means that the child has a very high percentage of becoming obese or overweight. How can we change the teens or the childs confidence or attitude so that they can be positive and start making a change by losing weight and becoming healthy, not skinny? The future will be very scary if no one will start to make a change in the eating habits. We all know that teens and children are our future and that thats why we must care.So what can teens and children do to change their lifestyle and their eating habits.Thank you for you.

Why don't you stop and look at us. Why don't you just come up to us and yell YOUR FAT! You have no idea what it is like to be fat!! Food is like addiction to us. Why don't you cover your eyes while everyone who is obbesse all over the world gets in to busses and drives the bus of a cliff in to the water, then all this BS will be all over. WHY DON'T YOU GO GRAD A BURGER AND STUFF IT DOWN YOUR THROAT GEESE!!! Oh and please leave us alone and treat us like normal people.

Children learn from there parents/ guardian. Children become teens. If parents of teens are overweight or obese their is a good chance that their teens will as well from their example. Being overweight or obese is from consuming more calories than your body can burn. Eating a healthy diet of the correct amount of calories for your body and exercising will help.

Eating too much...or not the right kinds of food. And not enough exercise. As kids, they don't get out everyday & play like my generation did. There are too many "electronics" that keep them inside sitting on the couch. Also with alot of them growing up with both parents working nowadays, I don't think the meals at home are as healthy as they used to be. Either fast food or something quick & easy, but loaded with fat and/or calories. And not enough vegetables and fruits.

WELL I THINK, THAT IT IS DUE TO THE WORLD GETTING MORE DANGEROUS. WHAT I MEAN IS 30YRS. OR SO AGO YOU HAD VERY FEW T.V. CHANNELS NO PC'S NO PERSONAL GAME BOXES. ALL THE KIDS HAD TO DO WAS GO OUT SIDE AND PLAY MAKE BELEIVE AND GAMES WITH OTHER KIDS AROUND. THERE WASNT MANY FEARS FOR PARENTS AS LONG AS YOU WAS HOME BEFORE THE STREET LIGHTS CAME ON. THERE WAS NO SUEING YOU FRIENDS OR PARENTS OVER BROKEN BONES AND BLOODY NOSES. NOT AS MANY GANG TYPES. AND EVERY ONE WAS NICER IN GENNERAL. IF THINGS WERE LIKE THAT AGAIN THERE WOULD BE LESS OBESITY IN KIDS TODAY.....

Soda Pop machines in the schools. Fast food being served at schools. Processed crappy food being served at home. Hours and hours in front of the stupid television.

In short, too much unhealthy food. And not enough activity.
