There is a process called thermal straightening (also referred to as Japanese straightening) where chemicals and thermal irons are used to straighten the hair. It is not *completely* permanent because as your hair grows out, you will need occasional touch-ups for the roots. However, the results are usually great and your hair seems to be in better condition after it's over. The main drawbacks of this is that it takes awhile to do (3-5 hours) and it is kind of expensive (200 dollars or more).

If you want to learn more about this process, you can read this article:

Yes you can, Sally beauty supply or your favorite beautician, this is called a streighting perm, it is not the same as a perm. Chemicals are slightly different. You have to apply it and comb the hair the enire time while doing the treatment. They work great and long lasting only do it once everey 5-6 months more than that your hair can break off.

No straighteners only last for a while. the only way you could really change it permanently to straight would be messing with the Genetic code. But that stuff is only like in Sci-Fi movies.

yes. you can go to a salon and get a treatment called a relaxer. Or they do have a jepaneese streighting tecnhique. It cost a lot and takes a while but it will get you streight hair. go to a saoln and try a relaxer see if that works, if not see about the japanesse streightening system

No because your roost will grow in the same texture you had before. The treated part can be permanent, but roots nah. I think your better off ironing it. Maybe you can chemically straighten it, just as long as you iron the roots when they grow in.
