We started by hanging out with other people at a bar, eventully everyone else left and it was the two of us and we talked for 2 hours about all kinds of things. Next week it was the same but we hung out for 4 hours. He even said we should go out to a club and karoke because I told him I could dance and sing. We really seemed to hit it off. (we work together at a High School) One of the teachers we work with says that he thinks this guy likes me but doesn't really want the students to know. He talks about me when I am not there. He has never actually asked me out and will only text message me after I text him, I really like this guy and we get along great and have a lot in common. I texted him to see if he wanted to do anything on Wednesday and he said we should go out for drinks after his band practice. I just read the book "He's just not that into you" and it made me think that if he really wanted me he would ask me out himself. Should I play hard to get and not text him?

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?
Just remember, take each moment like it will be the last. This I feel will be a good start for you in knowing. Good Luck!!!!!!!

b careful not 2 smother him
my sister alwasy moves 2 fast with a guy
sending him texts messages all the time
where are you...everyday
I can understand why she hasn't had a boyfriend in 2 years-
why dont u just tell him
you may have feelings for him...unless u don't
it really depends on his personality..maybe he's the type that doesn't like to show his feelings
or...is waiting for u 2 make the first move
playing hard 2 get isn't always the right way
u could end up making him think ur not interested..n then he might move on...
just b urself...if he doesn't take u for who u r...there are plenty of guys in the world

If he works with you, he may realize if he comes on to you stronger you could say it was sexual harrassment. This day and age it's a tough thing to like someone you work with because if you misinterpret the situation - you could be in trouble. That's coming from a guy's point of view. Tell him you like him and you want to go out! He'll be flattered I'm sure.

It sounds like he is "feeling you out". He seems to like you based on the information you gave. If you are ready for the "feeling out - game" to end, just ask. It could be in a direct way, or in a flirty way.

Good Luck
