I'm not a Pagan but I'd like to learn more about it. I've studied most religions, read lots of books on religions, but I know only the basics about Paganism. I'm a Reincarnationist, so we have that much in common. I think people should be polite - when the questioner says 'Pagans only' or 'Christians only' or 'Atheists only' everyone should respect that. I feel for Pagans, because Christians have a very perverted idea of what your religion is about.
By the way, you might find this interesting if you haven't seen it. So sad that people can be so thick.

This is an open forum and when you ask a question anybody has the ability to answer, regardless of whether or not you agree with their views. If you don't want a christian to answer you always have the right to say that you don't want their two cents on the issue. Otherwise your going to get their opinion.
Chrsitianity isn't about focusing on themselves. It's about giving your life over to God and doing His work on the earth. As far as blacks, women and animals not having souls, I don't know where you got your information, but that's wrong. Everyone has a soul no matter how you believe. It's what you do with it while your on the earth that decides whether or not your going to heaven or to hell. In the bible it states that homosexuality is wrong. Christians don't hate gays. We just want to see them make ammends with God so that they can have an eternal life with God.
I would like to know why you believe that christians hate themselves and everybody else. Is it because of the people you've met? Is it because of a personal experience you'vehad with the church itself? Or is it that it's something that you don't understand and rather than accept that it's ok for other people and not you, you chose to put christians down?

The first answerer proved your point, didn't s/he?
Actually, I just looked over your questions, and they seem like the sort of questions to provoke debate. They certainly looked interesting to ME. I am not Christian, or Pagan, but always find a good religious debate to be stimulating. I look at questions like yours, too, and as for those Christians, I think they cannot help themselves. They just have to put in their two cents about Jesus. I've seen totally innocuous questions about sports where a Christian managed to make the answer about Jesus, yet still relevant to the question. I know many Christians, and it seems that they cannot have a conversation of over 5 minutes without somehow working Jesus into it. So any question in the Religion category, they see as an opening for mentioning Jesus.
Personally, I find it to be fascinating, rather than annoying, unless they are trying to convert me.

for the same reason that when a Christian ask a question a pagan chimes in.

I know! It's really very annoying. If they want to believe that Jesus is the only way to get to heaven, that's fine (even though they're COMPLETELY wrong, in my opinion). But why do they have to try to convert everyone else? Why do they care if OTHERS "worship the devil" (which paganism/wicca have nothing to do with)?! So Christians, stay out of pagan questions unless you have something helpful to say! "Pray to God" is not helpful advice!

Because Christians believe it's their duty to "save" us from "evil". The sad part is, a Pagan will usually not listen to a Christian, because, believe it or not, we've heard the same thing from them HUNDREDS of times. "Jesus is the way." "You're doomed for the fires of Hell." "Pagan is the devil."
Yeah, yeah, yeah, next time you ask something, ask for logic above brainwashed answers. That could help, but then again, some of these people will never shut up.

This is an open arena. It's the same when Christians ask a question and athiests, gnostics and pagans answer - it's just part of the whole deal.

Maybe you should be up front with the "Christians" and ask them politely not to answer. I have found that most True Believers are very polite in general and would probably respect your wishes.
Failing to do that when asking a question in the "Religion and Spirituality" section, you are most likely to get responses from persons who are interested in things religious and spiritual.
Wouldn't you agree?

Pagans do the same thing. Next time, state your question with that in mind, and you won't get christians to answer. Take care.

I've noticed that too. Seems like christians are the worst in thinking there no freedom to religion, and there the only ones that are right. I think they are not only brainwashed into the religion sometimes but also into trying to brainwash others. Extremely sad to watch, it looks to me like cattle lining up. It's not only pagans though, it's anytime you want to believe anything other than their path.
