All I have is my clothes but I don't want to bring them on the plane.Is there a cheaper way besides flying of getting up there?

nwa.com or alaskaairlines.com both offer cargo service up here. Compare prices and time. USPS offers parcel post, but it's gone up a lot in price. www.usps.gov to check prices.

That's about it. Fedex and UPS ship here but only overnight and second day air and that is expensive.

Shipping luggage is a great idea so that you can travel light. I've done it and would do it more if shipping to and from AK was cheaper.

The airlines will allow two 50-pounds bags for free. An additional bag costs, but typically less than to ship. If you don't have enough luggage, they'll accept stuff in a cardboard box. You see a lot of that up here.

have them like fed-exed to alaska. i know they do it.
