I've tried to separate it but it's a pain in the a**e to do so.

actually all parts in canned salmon are edible and the bones are a really good source of calcium,phosphorus , magnesium and glucosamine . the skin is fine and probably contains some of the omega-3 and 6 fatty acids that are beneficial . so flake it all together with a fork and enjoy one of the tastiest superfoods around .

No its totally edible, but I try to peel all the skin off and take out as many of the bones as possible.... I love Salmon cakes!! yummm

Mash the tinned tuna with a squirt of vinegar and black pepper and mash it all together with skin and bone...It's all really good for you.

Best of all... cut cucumber really fine and soak in vinegar and then make salmon and cucumber sandwiches,,,I can't think of anything nicer...yummie!!

Nah they are both harmless enough
the skin in fact is very tasty
the only problem could be if a bone gets stuck in the throat, which can be uncomfortable but dry toast should clear it.
but it isnt going to do you any harm

some big shops like marks and spencer asda and sainsbury do skinless and boneless salmon in tins makes life a lot easier

It's all good....the bones are a good source of calcium & the skin has essential vitamins & minerals...& the bones are soft so no problemo.....enjoy
