It depends on how it is cooked. If it is fried, then, yes, of course, as are most fried foods. If it is smothered in butter and garlic, then, yes. By itself, shrimp is not fattening, but if cooked in fattening things, then of course it is.

shrimp has some fat mainly the less harmful fats but it is loaded with cholesterol .
