That's more psychology, and about love not being possessive. I don't believe in hounding people even if with love as often the person just wants to go the other way, and likely doesn't feel free enough to make any decision 'to convert'. I admire anyone who does 'convert' as that takes a great amount of courage and integrity. I'd love to be associated with the process if the person wishes, but otherwise, I'd rather stay in the background as a potential resource, but also loving in action without strings attached. That no doubts 'converts' far more than any words you can say. If you really love the other person you respect them and don't try to hound them. Let them know you care but then let them be, or 'set them free'. Your love should not be conditional, even if you feel it is the most important thing you can share. If the person doesn't want it, you can only make it worse for them by pushing.

That has nothing to do with the Christian belief system whatsoever - it's a type of personal belief. Most Christians aren't out to "convert the masses" and have no problem with someone having different beliefs than them, but obviously you've met the few crazy zealots who do (and I'm sorry if you have), or are just basing your knowledge on stereotypes. Either way, kindly use the correct information before asking another question like this.

It was out of love that the Son of God sacrifices Himself for mankind. We, as Christians, feel we can do no less. We have been chosen as Christ's embassadors, and it is out of love that we tell people about the good news of the gospel.

Having said that, God gave man free will to either choose Him or not. If a person says "no" or simply isn't ready, the polite thing to do would be to respect their privacy.

You are to love God with all your heart and soul, and let go of every thing in your life and live for HIm. Meaning do not put your posessions, family, friends before the Lord. Set your worries free, your cares, and stop thinking about your self as number 1, and make God number 1, and God will bring you more blessings than you ever imagined.
You are to set you inihibitians and all that keeps you from trusting in the Lord 110% free. Rid yourself of them, and trust in God completely.

It's more a question of setting the record straight with heaven, so that when judgment day comes and they get asked if they tried to save anybody, they could answer in the affirmative.
LOL

i agree with Carol M , i am a Christian and i think it is a god idea to ask if PEOPLE believe that, not just if Christians do.i think that you should start looking in the bible for info, you should read John 3:16 too.if you are questioning God or the Christian religion you should read your bible and ask a pastor of a nondenominational church for prayer, advice, or help!

p.s. Jesus loves you!Jesus loves everyone!

Christians are called of God you don't need to hound them, once they are called they are receptive to teaching.

Cant remember the verse but out there somewhere it talks about casting bread upon the waters. Another location in the bible talks about throwing out your fleece.

I believe you plant the seed and move on, set a good example and people will want some of what you got. set a bad one and you will repel people. and you will be responsible for their lack of salvation.
