Load up on carbohydrates and fatty products. Examples would be pasta with heavy sauces (cream sauces are the best... think ham/cheese/cream), ice cream, there are a lot of cheeses with a very high fat percentage. Dairy products help you gain weight almost effortlessly...why do you think babies are fed milk? Besides that load up on whole grain (as in literal seeds in bread, not just "whole grain" flour) bread products, topping them with fats (butter, spread, cheese) and meat (ham, bacon, salmon). I do not recommend eating too much junk food, you will not get your necessary minerals and vitamins.
The best way to gain waight is just to wait if you are young. Believe me, honey, your metabolism will 99% of the time slow down when you get older. Develop good eating habits now and be happy with your weight, it will pay off in the future.

If you are active, fit and eating a normal amount of calories, don't worry about the wieght will catch you as you get older. Don't try packing it on now with all the additives and "gain weight" drinks. I swear that once I slowed down my metabolism, I began having trouble loosing weight.

I've heard banana's help weight gain, and add sugar to your juices and beverages. Being inactive is not healthy and only produces fatty weight, but working out with weights will develop muscles that will improve the "skinniness" look.
Good Luck!

I have the same issue. No matter what I do I can't gain it. It is most likely your metabolism, and if so, you just have to wait until it slows down a bit. Try eating a lot of carbs. Just eat healthy, and you should be fine. :) If your really concerned, talk to your doctor.

1. having your blood work tested to see if there is anything medical going on (ie:hyperthyroidism)
2. if you've ruled out anything medical and you just have a high metabolism- increase your caloric intake by eating meals or drinking protien shakes every few hours
3. start working with weights (hire a trainer at first) to increase your muscle mass which will help you gain size.
remember- it takes time.... be consistent.
good luck!

After checking with your doctor, dietician, do you:
- eat at least one full banana each day?
- eat pudding after lunch as a dessert
- eat three snacks, daily after Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner!
Caloric intake must exceed expenditure, so that you can gain weight!

See your doctor. Then read labels. Eat high-protein high calorie foods. It's pretty simple most people don't without trying.
