Ok, the car in front of me on Wed hit a kitten. I got it and immed took to vet. X-rays revealed a neck injury of hte 7th verb in the neck. We have started her out on steroids and she has improved. She USED to lay like a tipped cow, but now has been moving her head up and trying to sit up on her own. She has now been on these meds for 3 days. She is improving, but has anyone with experience in this area to know if she will get better and walk again? She is eating and drinking and doing well with that. I want her to be ok sooooooo bad, , but Ive never had any experience with this type of injury with a rescue before. Please any comments in this area would be GREATLY appreciated. Im so worried and love her so very much already.
Thanks.

I did take her to the vet already. I have taken her everyday since Wednesday. The vet says that she is unsure that's why I was asking for others opions who have gone through the same thing. She is wonderful and I will try the neck massage. I laid with her and cried for 30 min last night telling her that if she fights she will never live on the streets and will be forever happy and taken care of. Thanks for your answers! She truly is a miracle.

First of all Tylenol is toxic to cats and so is most other human medication. The kitten needs medical attention so call a vet and go. There is always a 24/7 one available. Maybe the kitten will be lucky and it will turn out to be an inner ear infection causing the head to tilt and not a neck injury. Either way without treatment for the tylenol the kitten is in bad shape... Good Luck.

Unfortunately it's often difficult to predict how neurological injuries will turn out. Much depends on whether nerves have been severed or just damaged, and how much opportunity they have to recover. Even then, there's so much we don't know for certain.
How much, if anything, has been determined about the nature of any spinal cord damage? This is the single greatest factor influencing how she will recover.
Good luck, hope it turns out OK.

If the vet said that she would improve she will. My dog jumped from the bed of a pickup and hurt his neck also, he was also on steroids he is fine has an occasional flare up if he does something like jumping off something.

Hello, I worked in an animal hospital, and saw kittens in pretty poor condition that healed up amazingly. Just hang in, give it rest, and see how it goes. Good luck,

Poor little kitty. I would just take the Vet's advice and hope for the best. Since she is so young there is a good chance of her healing well!

It's a good sign that she is improving instead of getting worse. Hope she has a full recovery :)
